It's not much consolation but I bet I'm one of very few people to have birdied 17 every time I played it

Enjoyed going out into the lead in R1 at 18 under, almost the perfect round. Then the usual throw away in R2, 6 birdie putts which could've should've but didn't and a chip which rattled the pin and sat on the lip for a miserable 7 under ( worst R2 in the top 40 or so). Didn't care after that, just battered the ball in the last 2 rounds. Delighted!

Had a couple big whoopsies in the first 2 rounds. Found myself in a gully and thought the 8 iron should get it out. A small part of my brain that knows the rest of my brain makes decisions tried to tell me to take a sand wedge and get it out, but my brain didn't listen. It didn't get out, not close. So my brain thought why not try a nine iron, but the small part of my brain screamed no, but brain didn't listen. It didn't get out. So my brain finally listened and took the SW and it got out, double bogeyed the hole. A similar thing happened on the 7th hole in round 2. My first drive didn't clear the chasm, so I tried the exact same shot again and it also didn't work, oh my. Triple bogeyed an easy birdie hole.
So I sit at -21 and I'm happy with what appears to be my skill level increasing, but bummed about my brain still making terrible decisions.

Opening tee shot of the event.....10 yard grounder! (Just like real life!) Had been playing sim earlier and just became used to moving the stick down and up for the overhead cam with the putter off the tee. Had a brain fart and did it with the driver, so stupid lol. Had to “tee off” from the light rough...did still get par though lol.
Definitely encountered quite a bit of lag, especially round 2. My uphill flop on 18 was VERY laggy...not what I wanted when trying to battle the cut line! Was so afraid of getting a very slow and rolling back down. Luckily I got a p/p.

Soooooo. Asus has a new mouse that I am going to get the chance to try. It is the Asus Chakrum. What makes this an interesting mouse is that it actually has a joystick attached to it, on the side where the front/back buttons are for. This joystick can be programmed to do a golf swing, as well as act like a normal joystick in other games. I'm not saying it is going to be great or make me a better golfer, but it is an interesting 'gimmick'. At the very least if it doesn't do well for the screen it can be used for aiming putts, shots, ect without having to use the keyboard.
It also can be mapped for some xbox/ps4 games, tho i'm not sure why anyone would do this and use it over a controller. Maybe unclevirt will try one. One of the reasons why I requested a sample to try is that is uses basically the same chassis as my Asus Spatha and that is what I'm using now to play golf. It is my old, reliable, nice n heavy mouse. www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-Chakram/
