I have been playing chrome plus for a while but I don't like the three lines they put on the ball now. I draw my own line so prefer that. Tried Taylor made tp5 and like it.
I have played without losing a ball but funny thing is I have scored better with losing one or two. Crazy game.
Is your real last name lawless? If so that's awesome lol. Somehow I never caught that.
Tied in league last night. Should have won but guy made a bird on last hole with a great putt.

As if the particular golf ball is the reason I am bad at golf.
And yes, Lawless is my real name.

The type of ball you use can have a affect on how you play. Depends on swing speed but for me I like spin around the green . Always thought Titleist are hard to spin. Ironically when you go to a range the balls are usually sh%$. Hence practicing with whatever ball you like is better around a short game area. Can get some confidence.
Great last name.

Played for the first time in weeks eight days ago due to Covid-19. Started terribly, blob the first and only three points after four holes. Got my swing going to finish with 31 so happy in the end.
Our rearranged season starts next weekend with our first club major, Easter Trophy. I'm looking forward to it.

Played the front 9 at Barwon Heads GC over the weekend. 5th ranked course in Australia. Beautiful course, right along the water in Barwon Heads, 90mins west of Melbourne.
For my second round back I absolutely smoked it. Couldn’t hit it better. Also couldn’t have putted worse on absolutely lightning fast greens. Shot +8 and hit 6 GIR! Missed about 8 putts inside 8ft. Really need my local to put holes back into the practice greens.

Played league yesterday. Getting it back. Closer to ball keeping spine angle more upright and not moving head . We won and if we win next week we get into playoffs automatically.

Played the Easter Trophy yesterday. Didn't manage a single par on the front nine. Birdies on the 4th and 9th meant I had used all 6 of my shots by the end of the nine. Did make three pars on the second nine and a 2 on the 15th will get me a bit of money. Finished +6 for my handicap. The winner shot a net 58, -11. For me to shoot that score I'd have to shoot a gross 64, -5 which would match my best ever round.
The club's season is now consisting of just the club majors this season. Next up for me is Charity Cup in two weeks.

Finally tried a round with the segways. Actually lots of fun. A little tricky at first though as me and buddy both went home with cut and bruised shins after early crashes lol! After that though it was no problem. Will definitely do more often.

My question to you, is where should I go? I don’t want to spend big bucks, but I don’t want a Rat River either lol Also, I’m not very good... I kinda suck, but like everything else, the more you play the better you get. I’m in Windsor Park if that matters at all.

I kinda suck, but like everything else, the more you play the better you get. I’m in Windsor Park if that matters at all. I live west of polo park so thats usually where I play. Breezy Bend is okay. The good things about that course is that it's great for walking cause of the tight routing and its a bit of a shorter course. It's scoreable for average players. But there is definitely better courses out there and it's always busy, so it can be tough to get the tee times you want. For the price and how close it is (at least to me) it's a pretty good deal. Glendale is pretty nice course and they keep it in great shape. Tougher course though. If you are interested keep your ear out for deals that include this and next year. Friend of mine bought a membership in late August that included the rest of last year and this year for around $1700. Absolutely love Bridges but it's just a bit too far for me to consider getting a membership. Go out there every chance I get though. Can play really tough but always in immaculate shape and they're hardcore about pace of play so never get caught in a 5 hour round. Used to play bel acres quite a bit, but quit a few years back when it became it bit too pricey and it wasnt taken care of very well. Didn't like st. Boniface much but I believe it's quite affordable. St. Andrews and Selkirk are both nice but too far from me but would be closer to you. Had a membership years ago at Selkirk and felt it was really worth it.

I will check out St.B for sure as it’s right around the corner from me. My brother lives in Selkirk so that’s another option as well. Very helpful, thanks again 👍

I started playing again in January after a 15 year break. Forgot how much I enjoyed it. Since then I've improved from 100+ every round to consistently breaking 100 and starting to break 90 on occasion as well. I know where I need to improve and am working on it, mainly just through playing at the moment as there isn't a lot of spare time to practise. One big improvement I've already made was getting rid of my slice and turning it into a draw, not sure how I did it but glad I did. Grip change perhaps and other minor swing changes.
I also got my official handicap recently. After playing in a social club since January with a few mates, I also joined the club I used to work at around that time I played previously 15 years ago. First two rounds towards the handicap were pretty ordinary both over 100, then I managed an 87 on the third one and being based on the best round, I started at 12.4, which is probably a bit low for my current skill level. It went up 1 after Sunday when I hit 93 for 29 points in the comp, off 10 daily. Back again this Sunday.
I'm hoping by the end of the year to be able to break 90 at least every second round, and maybe break 80 by the end of 2021. I enjoy it mostly, except the odd 100+ round I still have 😜
