To the ROWers: congrats! Great tournament. You guys proved to be too much for me in the end.
To my fellow NAers: it is with a heavy heart I type this apology. I absolutely feel terrible able he result after such spirited comeback. I'm sorry I failed you as a teammate and an assistant captain. This one is going to stick with me for awhile. Don't let the final score make you forget how hard you fought and the comeback we had. This is my fault and again, I apologize.
As I said on the stream, that was some of the most fun I've had. I've never been so nervous and excited during a round of digital golf. I enjoyed every minute of it and winning and losing is why you play the game. Given the chance, I'd stream it again every time (I'm actually probably going to stream more often because I enjoy chatting with you guys).
Great tournament and enjoy those Irish broads, ROWers!

Me in the clubhouse after that epic finale. Sorry I had to do it, I couldn't make my teammate out to be a liar.

Ashton FoxAshton, no need to apologize. We win as a team and lose the same way. In my opinion, there were no losers this week because everyone had such a great time. With that said, congrats to sid snott Paul, the winning captain, and the rest of the ROW.

***MATCH 13*** - Day 3 singles
NA : Hunter Butler vs ROW : Mike Georgiades
A bit anti-climactic now, it seems, but what an unbelievable singles match ! Both players started off with birdies on #1, but an uncharacteristic par by Hunter on hole #2 spotted Mike a 1 up lead. Both players shot birdie-par-par on 3-5, but Mike erupted with a 3 birdie stretch on 6-8. Hunter could only salvage one birdie from that trifecta of holes and Mike was suddenly up to a 3 up lead. Facing the prospect of entering the back 9 3 down, Hunter pulled out a clutch birdie on 9 to grab one back and after 9 holes, the ROW team held a 2 up lead.
However, Mr. Butlers resolve was resolute. He opened the back 9 birdie-birdie-eagle and although Mike carded a respectable birdie-par-birdie, it wasn't enough as the lead had been evaporated and the players were again all square. Both players birdied 13 and the stage was set for an epic finish. Hunter stuck his tee shot on the par 3 14th within striking range and was poised for yet another birdie, when Mike did the unthinkable. His tee shot landed softly, bent towards the pin, hit it and dropped for an ace ! Hunter could only shake his head in disbelief as his birdie was suddenly no good and Mike was back 1 up. Never one to dwell on a hole however, Hunter stepped back up and drilled a birdie putt on 15 while Mike could only make par. After the kerfuffle on 14, we were back to all square through 15. Both players birdied 16 to keep the playing field level, then the decisive 17th saw Hunter make yet another birdie while Mike could only salvage par. Hunter was 1 up for the first time in the match ! Although Mike coolly sank his birdie putt on 18, Hunter was up to the challenge and did the same, halving the hole and taking the match. Hunter shot a 58 here to Mike's 59 in simply an extraordinary show of skill. Well played, mates.
Hunter Butler (NA) wins 1 Up over Mike Georgiades (ROW)
