Speaking of clowns, Clowney should have been flagged for targeting on Wentz. I hope he gets fined and suspended for a game. Titans were impressive for sure. Ravens better not sleep on them and think they just need to show up and let Jackson improv the game. That would be a big mistake. I didn't see the hit live but I looked up the replay. These hits are tough to judge because they happen really quick and can look worse than what they are but I for sure agree with you on this one. You have to look at Clowney's reaction time after Wentz was put into a defensive position (going to the ground and bracing for contact with the ground, no longer making voluntary progress forward). At this point, Wentz is no longer a threat to gain more yards and seeing how Clowney made the decision to change his angle of attack in order to hit Wentz as he was going down, made this a dirty play. Yea, he was definitely trying to use his helmet as a weapon. He should be more careful with his own safety doing that cheap crap, it's how necks get broken.

Well I've invested some of last weeks winnings back on the Titans...although a very small portion mind you lol
Some interesting sub plots between Pees and Martindale time together in ratbird land and Pees VS Roman in the SuperBowl.
Personally I think Baltimore's D is a bit overrated both from playing with leads alot of the time and benefits huge from the system and playcalling of Martindale. Easily one of the best at disguieng and calling blitzes. They're going to live and die by it so it'll be up to tannehill to be smart and get the ball out so our guys can make plays.
That offense always comes out blazing. Seen a bunch a teams wanting no part of them after 2 or 3 drives. Just hoping our defense is willing to take a few punches then still be willing to stay in the fight. After the first few waves they're a little more manageable.
Should be a good game. Hoping the Titans aren't in the mindset that last week was their SuperBowl... Plus we owe them for that dirty play on cj in 2008!

Not that I have anything against the Ravens, I just like the underdog story and that they took out the evil empire. With Baltimore's defense, We've all heard the notion that the best offense is a good defense and that "defense wins championships"... I'm of the opposite mindset that the best defense is a good offense because the best defense is one that is not on the field. Baltimore led the league in time of possession so that really helps their defense out

Struggled a bit earlier in the season giving up 17 to the Cardinals week 2, which was not a solid offense, then in weeks 3-4-5 against the Chiefs, Browns, and Steelers they gave up 33,40,23 respectively, but since week 6 they have been essentially unstoppable. Week 7, they hold Russell Wilson to 17 on the road, which is a top 8 offense. Week 11, allow only 7 points to Houston which is a premier offense week 12, and week 13 they hold the Rams (another top 8 offense) and Niners to 6 points and 17 points respectively. Not to mention when they played the Browns and Steelers a second time, the defense held each of them to less than 50% of the points they scored when they met the 1st time. The defense was slow to start the season but now they are absolutely rolling. Keep in mind that Tennessee's modus operandi is running the ball effectively, thanks to Derrick Henry they average more than 220 yards a game. The Ravens, though, have the 5th best run D at 93 yards a pop. It is setting up for a score of Ravens 31 Titans 13.

The only way to beat the Ravens is to keep the ball out of the hands of their offense... which means Tennessee needs to be able to run the ball. If they can run the ball like they did against NE, they stand a legit chance... if they can't, they will get blown out. Either way, I just don't see it being 31-13... within a touchdown maybe, but I see this as a one score game.

That's the great thing about playoff football and the "one and done" structure unlike other sports' series type setup. You can never count anyone out. Sure the higher seeded, more proven teams usually win but it doesn't take much to go from super bowl favorite to ousted in the first round. You get 60 minutes and that's it.

The Ravens, though, have the 5th best run D at 93 yards a pop. True, but they also faced the least amount of rushing attempts against in the league due to their big leads and ball control. When teams had the chance to run they averaged 4.4 yards a play...

Really want to geek out on situational football stats? My favorite reference website right here. Wish I had more time for study this year but life has been a bit challenging over here. Hopefully next season I'm back into the swing of things. But in the meantime, I'll share this with you all. enjoy getting lost in all of the options >>>> www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/play_finder.cgi

My gamertag name is actually from playing Madden starting back in the PS2 days and I just kept it. Enjoy the stat site. It's easy to get lost in what you are doing so fair warning lol.
