Prop bet: More representatives in Elite 8 -- DAM or KEG? Aren't you guys just going to happily take each other out over in the top right? Hate to see it... Couldn't you make the same argument about you guys in the bottom right... assuming of course you bribed the judges enough to advance? |

Either my advancement was a complete and utter mistake - OR - I actually created something good enough to advance. It is my best work to date... Will probably get bounced by Overbrook - but stranger things have happened.. Either way - not losing any sleep over it.. I would just like to drink the DAM KEG...makes for raedang deez freads butter.... |

Look, I know it's easy to take it personally when I'm pissin' and moanin' about things, and you're welcome to think I'm being a jerk by thinking my course was better than yours, but that's just my opinion. Of course I'm not being serious about the bribe, nor actually thinking that's the case, all I can do is provide humor at this point or I'll continue to be very upset about the result. I have told people in private that I respect you, I think you've worked tremendously hard with a great attitude to get better and better, and I AGREE with you that Mulligan Quarry was your best course so far. I really liked it to be honest, and I've also told people that I feel bad that my reaction to this whole thing takes away the joy you should feel about beating me and TCRBrad to get to the next round. I genuinely apologize for robbing you of that enjoyment. In my opinion, Mulligan Quarry was fantastic, but Hallstatt North was better... there, I said it. However, that's just my biased opinion, it doesn't make me right, and clearly there were judges that did not agree with that assessment, and so your advancement wasn't a mistake. I clearly didn't do enough to convince all judges that I deserved a shot at the next round. So again, please don't take my humor personally, it's not directed AT you Jeff, it's directed at my perception of the situation. All I can do is laugh at this point to deal with how I feel about it. You're welcome to ignore me completely or even be upset, but none of how I feel about the result is meant to indicate that I think your course was bad, because it definitely wasn't, and you should be very proud of it. |

I have to tip my hat to Jeff, who a) has an awesome course and b) has handled all of this with incredible class.
Most designers in this community would be in a puddle of tears if subjected to that much second-guessing on a course they worked hard on. Big respect.

I have to tip my hat to Jeff, who a) has an awesome course and b) has handled all of this with incredible class. Most designers in this community would be in a puddle of tears if subjected to that much second-guessing on a course they worked hard on. Big respect. Literally the best sport from any contest I've seen. Guy has had his course ripped to shreds and multiple judges decisions questioned all because a few people didn't like the outcome and he's done nothing but be positive. It's so easy to forget you aren't the only one that put in long hours on a course. We're all playing a video game at the end of the day, be damned if I ever let two opinions affect my life. |

Truth. The opinions of other jackholes on my jackhole courses means precisely squat. Took me too long to reach that point but It's a nice comfortable place to live.
