2nd last week, and I caught fire this week. Closed with a 57 to shoot -56. I think ill clear the win by a couple strokes. Im someone who is still getting used to TGC2, but wastop 100 back in TGC so im getting back into it all these years later. Ill see you guys up at Challenge C. If you win a tournament, is it an auto promotion? That's a GREAT score for sure. I am in 2nd and shot 58 in final round. Was hoping for some luck to catch you but dems da breaks... You already have 2 marks so you would move up for sure. Congrats on the performance!

Welcome aboard Oscar. And others who just got to D that I have missed.
Congratulations to Nick on the win
and to Frank and Phillip for 2'nd and 3'rd place finishes. Hope I'm not jumping the gun here but looks kind of like how it's going to settle out.
All well played.
Hopefully we can keep this CCD thread active a bit in the future. Getting bored having to read the Dirtbag thread when I'm not a dirtbag <--don't say it, I'm already thinking it lol

Hi all, I'm happy to welcome you at Broken Arrow Champ., proud to have been chosen among notorious fellow Dirtbag designers. I hope the course will give you back all the joy (and sometimes struggle) I put in designing As I work on a pro tour version of the course, each remark will be welcome. Just to show, here is a picture of the new 16th par 3 I redesigned (you will play form the old tees you can see the shadows to the left). I did not like the uphill line of play. Dominique

<Unrelated useless nattering not related to the course or tournament edited out lol>
All week long my 1'st instinct was to not play this tournament. I just seemed to struggle on this course any time I played it. I should have gone with my 1'st instinct.
Nothing against the course so please don't get bent out of shape. Just for me it didn't play well to my faults. Usually I can compensate but this one no. Some wonder why we play pro clubs, well if I played this on Master clubs it would have been my last tournament. This is all on me though. I'm not complaining about the course. Just want to be clear on that. Never have and never will bash a course.
And before the swing line brigade gets on me. (lol j/k) Trust me, I am not trying to be outside the blue, tried very hard to get in the blue, but struggled with that today. Also noticed my computer fans were working very hard during these rounds, seemed louder than normal. Wonder if that was impacting my play, just seemed to be all over the place with tempo, and swing line. Guess I should open up my case and remove the plastic bags I have over the fans and spray some water on everything to clean out the dust.
Here is an example of my day

Course was tough but fair. My only complaint is I had to aim away from the pin the one round cause i was right next to the bridge( on the edge of the fairway on 18). Course definitely beat me this week though

I was -5 after 4 holes. Finished -3.
Not because the course at all but honestly the swing variation for absolutely no reason is making it hard for me to play this game.
I’m DNF this week in anger.

Timb I disagree with you saying it's not the course. For that specific hole anyway.
No green should be designed with that much run off.

My first ever event on tour, First round -4, lost my head in round 2 to shoot 80. Stormed into the 3rd with a 79. Won’t be making the cut.

Timb I disagree with you saying it's not the course. For that specific hole anyway. No green should be designed with that much run off. The final hole is originally designed as a par 5, but I made it a tough par 4 as the course is dedicated to a great championship (from the back tees and master clubs). I think that for CC-pro it should had been brought back to a par 5 but I got no remark from the schedulers.

Re next weeks tournament at Keystone Heights GC.
Back in the day one of us would set up practice tournaments for everyone to play. Been a long time since we have done that so..
If you are like me and have already played your rounds for this week and are looking to get some practice in for next week and are on PC..SEND ME MONEY, LOTS OF IT.
Alternatively you can join my little society where I set up practice rounds for myself
society name
Soylent Greens.
I have a 4 rounder set up. It will expire tomorrow. I usually only set them up for a day so I can redo the next day. But if people are interested I can always set the next one for a couple days.
Conditions are per the weather report.
Round 1 is default everything Round 2 & 3 187's I think, just different firmness and round 3 high winds. Round 4 is 163's and firm greens..god my memory is shot, could be very firm.
I do tend to set my practice rounds at noon or afternoon and clear weather only because I'm old (52) and struggle with the dim lighting setups so when practicing like to just focus on the game, not finding my ball or dealing with shadows on the greens. R4 is afternoon with light cloud.
Feel free to join, play, leave, whatever. No fee involved. I'm not trying to spam my society as it has been there since the beginning just offering an easy way for people to do some practice rounds. Posting here was an afterthought after playing my practice rounds, then the CCAM event.
Applies to all, not just CCD.

Just to clarify and make sure everybody is aware... the conditions on the weather report are alphabetical and are not in round order...

Just to clarify and make sure everybody is aware... the conditions on the weather report are alphabetical and are not in round order... Not sure if this was in response to my practice tournament thing, if not apologies for jumping in. My setups are just the conditions in the weather report and in no particular order. It's why when I do them for myself, I only set them up for a day so that my next one I switch them around. I try and get all variations I can in.

Thank you so much, I will join that society. I normally practice in local game AFTER tournament started so I can set the real first round conditions, play a round and then the tournament round. Depending on my results I keep doing this for each round or just play the rest of the tournament without more practice.
But I like your idea, I'll play in there too.

And I must say this week's course is one of the worst courses I've ever played. I usually play one round per day but today I rushed all the rounds just to get rid of it. I didn't care about the result. Bad layout, awful pin positions, worst greens... Just no, thank you. Give me my negative marks and let's keep going.
