Thank you so much, I will join that society. I normally practice in local game AFTER tournament started so I can set the real first round conditions, play a round and then the tournament round. Depending on my results I keep doing this for each round or just play the rest of the tournament without more practice. But I like your idea, I'll play in there too.
No problem I always liked doing my practice in the tournament setting just to get a feel for how I would/could do in a 4 round event. Once started I'm locked in as opposed to just doing one round at a time in local play where I tend to rage restart over and over. This way it's more realistic. And the different commentary from John too. I also tend just enjoy just playing tournaments over single rounds, having a leader board to follow and chase adds to the experience. But bear in mind, like catcherman22 says, the weather report is just what conditions may be, not in any particular order so with all the combinations it's impossible to get an exact replica of what the official event will be.

Yeah, I know how weather report works, thanks! Played first round -12.

Just to clarify and make sure everybody is aware... the conditions on the weather report are alphabetical and are not in round order... Not sure if this was in response to my practice tournament thing, if not apologies for jumping in. My setups are just the conditions in the weather report and in no particular order. It's why when I do them for myself, I only set them up for a day so that my next one I switch them around. I try and get all variations I can in. Wasn't directed at you Tim...just a general statement as we get that comment way too often about the conditions not matching what they are in game

I pick the worst conditions from the weather report and play practice rounds using those.
If the conditions are easier for a round then good for me

I pick the worst conditions from the weather report and play practice rounds using those. If the conditions are easier for a round then good for me I'm guilty of that. & Playing the furthest away tees even though the tournament isn't using them. Slight digression below lol Once when I was in Web (now Korn lol) I had just got out of the hospital after a 10 month stay. This was TGC2, I had hardly played it because I was in the hospital when it came out and had a hard time getting used to the new game. Jumped right back into the game and tours without much practice. I did a practice round on the course, shot a 56. Awesome, was amazed with myself, Time to play the tournament..struggled, came in with a -2 or something. Then I realized I accidentally played the closest tees..Blew that tournament all to hell...then proceeded to blow the next 4 tournaments and got myself a demotion to CCP..Guess I wasn't ready for the tours yet...I digressed sorry lol Here is a little quirk of mine that I do every tournament. In the actual tournament I like to birdie the 1'st hole on the 1'st round all the time. It takes away the opening hole nerves. So in practice I'll go into local play and play that 1'st hole over and over until I can confidently birdie it most times. HB's logs (if they keep that sort of info) on my restarts must be hilarious, thousands, 10's of thousands even lol ---- For those interested. New tournament set up. different conditions this time. Will set it for a couple days this time. Destiny 2 (yeah I play that a lot if not more than TGC now a days) new season hits today so most my time will be away from the golf.

Yep I will quit the first hole in practice of I don't play it well.
The exception is if I lip out the birdie putt. Then I just move on because I was close enough

A weirdly difficult course this week. Played a practice round and felt like I either missed the green or was leaving myself 20+ footers on every approach.
After a first round 63 I was feeling like it was going to be a brutal week and was pleasantly surprised to find out I was still middle of the pack.
I started to get in a rhythm at the end of my first round so I went right into the 2nd round and was able to grind out a 59. Figured I'd jump a few spots but still be far off...and woke up this morning to find myself right in the mix at -18.

Also kicking myself for practically throwing away 2 strokes thru 2 rounds on #10. Bunker in front, skinny green, green feeds off left and right into rough leaving you a difficult up and down to an elevated green, some wind up there? Yeah I think I can stick a 2 iron.... SMH

Thanks for the tournament and the extension in time. Made a -40, I'm very happy. Can you please also set tournaments at "Overbrook Valley"? Next week is the Promotion Event too.

Sure I will set one up in the morning. Unable to at the moment. Kinda keep forgetting about the promo event. I haven't decided if I'm going to play it or not. Probably but if I get promoted I'll just be wasting the space for someone who deserves it.
I'm only allowed one event at a time though, can't do both so I'll do Overbrook for 2 days then see if you want that again or the Keystone, crap cant even remember the courses names right now lol
