I should probably bite my tongue because I love the tours so much... but here it goes.
What are we doing? I respect Andre as a great designer and great for the designing community, but not all courses are meant for the CC tours. Pacific Spirit could be fun to play, but not in a competitive environment IMO. I had 7 birdies in round 1 and felt I played really well by my standards. That got me an even par round. Including a 4 putt triple bogey (with no penalty shots). The pins are on slopes nearly every hole. Hit it to 8 feet? Good luck cuz it breaks 4 feet left and if you miss it’ll be a 15 footer coming back.
Rant over. I’m just frustrated. I’ve been playing poorly lately and I finally hit some great shots this round. But it didn’t matter.

My round was similar to yours. 7 birds. 5 bogeys one of which was a double

The yardage thing could be all over - I just never noticed it before. catcherman22 - seriously - I'm a little b*tch lately - getting an MRI in 4 hours with really painful knee issues so my bubbly personality is not showing through. ROFL the bold, but I wish you well in the MRI. Hope you do not have any major issue. Sadly they can fix the symptoms but not the issue . . . . . without a knee replacement - DAMN YOU ULTIMATE FRISBEE!

Back to CC-C action.
Round 2 was crisp and clean. 7 Chirpies, should of had one more on 18.
-8 thru 36 holes. Still have a lot of work to do.
Onward!

Played a practice round today - first look -3 but I can see a few holes where a Driver off the tee is needless Better to come in with a full club.
Looking forward to this!

-7 for the tournament. Just disgusting. 24 birdies, which isn’t great or anything but expected way better than -7. I think I belong in the CC-Am.

Even though I've earned two promo marks I have yet to find consistency this season. Feel like I'm alot better than I have been playing. Keep at it.

Choices are limited on the tenth narrow fairway that runs to the ocean, play an iron off the tee but leave a long iron to an elevated green with little room to land with the first pin. Bail out right with your second and face a downhill chip or play to the middle of the green and face a long uphill putt. I would prefer the hole it from the bunker option provided the ball doesn’t plug.

I’ve played 150 events and sometimes for no reason a course just has your number. Last year I came in 160th place and then the next week 40th. And I did not think I played THAT BAD in the bad round nut everybody else was so much better

Slowly but surely I clawed my way from +1 on Round 1 to complete the tourney on -19... thanks Andre makes a change for me to complete a tourney on your course under par.

WELL - I survived Round #1 with a -2 The PROBLEM with this course is watching your putt slowly go towards the hole and you have hope. Then you watch it as it rolls 30 feet away. And it does that on 3 or 4 holes. I was on one spot 12 feet away 5 inches downhill. I literally tried to come up short. Ended 45 feet away.
I watched AA_PHILCHICK who is a +27 handicap go +3 and the guy is good. I like the course but HATE the greens for their stupidity. Come one - 145 feet away? Time to flop and take a chunk out of the green

Was heading towards a really disappointing 4th round but somehow I managed to finish it off with six straight birdies ^^ -6 -8 -9 -7 -30 for the tournament, which I'm very satisfied with. Now I'll just have to wait and see if that's enough for my third promo mark
