Nice course this week. Conditions on the greens on the first day made them nearly unplayable...hopefully that changes.

IDK, I've been fine except for ending up no the lower 'wing' on #9, round 3 ... 100 ft/ 4 ft uphill. Tried to be good & putted 3 times before finally chipping on the green (HORRORS !!) & tapping for a triple bogey. Hope I'm not DQed or demoted, but I was about to throw my 'club' at the screen, so ... still under par, but not in the top half of finished third rounds at this time. I can see how the beginners guys are birdieing everything here, tbh. All but one par 5 is eagle-able. Not that I did.

Yep, same thing happened to me. I ended up playing a flop shot which got me closer than if I would have putted. I’m quickly realizing that you have to play perfect if you want any chance of a promotion mark, especially with nearly 300 players in the field. Couple that with very fast, hard and +100ft greens, it’s almost too frustrating for a casual player like me.

One of these days it'll all click for four rounds running, and I'll be a shocking top ten finisher, LOL. Enjoy the game, and enjoy the TGCTOURS format ... I try not to fret the low, low scores of others, and don't mind fighting it out for 124th !

Third week on the challenge tour, been demoted every week. I have to be the worst putter on the entire TGT tour. I just can't seem to figure it out...

Rough week ... 9 under, well in the top half of the field and STILL three demo marks ? They're gonna need a few more flights for all us mid-range folks who DON'T want to play Beginners clubs.

Hey Bob hope you’re doing good down there. Still designing? And nothing wrong with -9 imo. I start my C.C. this week. No idea how that demo/ promo system works but there are so many players now they are bursting at the seams. 175 or so in Q-school this week alone. Add in C.C. Pro and that’s a big leaderboard. Put those 4 rounds together. Cheers

When you start playing, don't get discouraged by the low scores some of the beginners clubs players post. It's all lumped together in-game, but the TGCT people do a fine job in sorting it all out & presenting it to us here. I've been 'ahead of field avg' for a few weeks running, which is good enough for me in such a competitive organization.
re:Designs, yup ... although I've started & ditched a few since we last talked. Currently mainly doing a U.S. Gulf Coast-type course, but am constantly wishing the 'delta' theme had at least a few broadleafed trees. Also some palms for the residential section, as most of the little resort towns down there have decorated with them in droves. But the tropical setting just doesn't work for a fictional set in Destin, FL. My 'Rock Ridge' has nice holes, but the titular geographical feature is bothering me each time I play the holes that tke you 'through' it.
And, I'm back working 20 hrs/wk resetting our bookstore, until we start letting customers back in. Then, I'm probably back to staying home, so maybe I'll complete a project. Did spruce up the backyard putting area, but still need to roll the 'carpet' back & re-flatten in spots. It's just cheap HomeDepot patio carpet over a sand base where our above ground pool used to be, with 5 cups (4" flowerpots sunk in). I had to do something with the 30x15 area to keep weeds from sprouting, after all.

I made A. I’m very happy. Played well in Q-school. If I would’ve done anything positive in my second round I could have made Korn Tour. But like you said I am not worried about the scores around me. I’m playing for fun. Of course I wanna do good but I really just wanted a place to compete weekly. I was so sick of solo games. I forgot about the adrenaline rush though. Cost me a couple of lost balls. Any tier above beginner was fine. C.C. only uses 2 courses for their 8 flights. They are usually close in difficulty so it really didn’t matter A-Z. I love how everyone is respectful here no matter the skill level. It’s all about getting better and like you said 4 rounds together.
Your new project sounds interesting. I haven’t ventured into a delta yet. I’m a little lost for inspiration there. And I feel your pain. The limitations in the designer are becoming more apparent to me every day. 20 shelters and sheds but 6 clubhouses. The trees are inconsistent. My city is full of poplars and I have never seen one look anything like the designer. My countryside comes out today. Wild Filly. It looks nice but is not friendly. I can’t hit more than 12 greens a round. My highlands in two weeks is a cool course that will be C.C. level golf.
A putting green you dog. Sounds awesome. I have a bedroom floor and coffee mug😟 Glad you’re back working and healthy. I’m doing a little from home but I don’t see anything going back to normal here anytime soon. So I really don’t know when I’ll get my 30 hours a week which is my max. 😋 I’m frugal, 51, only one dependent left and would rather golf than work. The courses up here are still coming along. Frickin trees are still half bare. Bad winter.

Got all my rounds in today and made improvement tee to green. Putting is still a major work in progress. R1 63 R2 66 R3 63 R4 68 -24 under total with 6 bogeys, have to find a way to make the stroke more consistent if I'm going to score better.

Stalled in Rd 4, finished -13. Bogey-free 64 in Rd 3 had me overconfident. As usual, half dozen long putts for birdie within a foot to tease me. Still a decent effort, I think. A shame the in game practice green is so flat compared to most played courses ... speed is easy, slope still a problem. Off to practice or design !

Random question for all my Z's.
How many rounds do you think you play a week outside of the tournaments?
I had about my tenth hiatus and I am just now getting back in but I am only getting in my tournament rounds right now.
