Season 6 Info

It's the eve of opening day of Season 6. We've made some tweaks but not all of them listed below have been implemented/tested as of this post so bear with us - plan is to have all of them in place by the time we need to finalize Week 1. Lots of info to get to so let's dig right in!

Season 6 goes live:
Monday, September 9th
The Golf Club 2019 (events go live):  Sunday, September 8th

Members With No Tour Card
- Link to register for Q-School will likely be active on Monday, September 9th - still some loose ends to tie up before we can flip that switch on
- You can play in-game Sunday and register for Q-School later if that works best for your availability this week

Members With A Tour Card at the End of Season 5
- You will continue on the same tour for the start of Season 6
- Web.com members are now on the Korn Ferry Tour (lovely name!)


All Promotion/Demotion marks will be reset to start the new season


List of Changes/Tweaks
- PGA, European and Korn Ferry Tour cuts are now Top 65+ ties
- Web.com Tour renamed to Korn Ferry Tour
- 3 promotion marks required to promote (previously 5) - still 5 demotion marks to demote
- PGA can't accrue positive movement marks (promotion marks)
- CC-Z can't accrue negative movement marks (demotion marks)
- CC-B, CC-C & CC-D now have fast tracking for Master Club users only (ideally top 3 or 4 per event will fast track)
- CC-Pro/Am payouts have been tweaked (lower)
- Can no longer qualify for CC-Z out of Q-School - have to be demoted there


Challenge Circuit - Demotion/Promotion Mark Logic Tweaks
If you have no movement marks:
CC-A Winner = auto-promoted if using Master's Clubs or +1 movement mark if using Pro Clubs
CC-B thru CC-Z Winner = auto-promoted to flight above
CC-A only - Top 15 Master's Club users, Top 5 Pro Club Users = +1 movement mark
CC-B thru CC-Z - Top 10 Master's Club users, Top 10 Pro Club Users = +1 movement mark
120-139 = -1 movement mark
140-159 = -2 movement marks
160+,DQ/WD = -3 movement marks

If you have positive movement marks:
CC-A Winner = auto-promoted if using Master's Clubs or +1 movement mark if using Pro Clubs
CC-B thru CC-Z Winner = auto-promoted to flight above
CC-A only - Top 15 Master's Club users, Top 5 Pro Club Users = +1 movement mark
CC-B thru CC-Z - Top 10 Master's Club users, Top 10 Pro Club Users = +1 movement mark
101-139 = -1 movement mark
140-159 = -2 movement marks
160+,DQ/WD = -3 movement marks

If you have negative movement marks:
CC-A Winner = auto-promoted if using Master's Clubs or +1 movement mark if using Pro Clubs
CC-B thru CC-Z Winner = auto-promoted to flight above
CC-A only - Top 15 Master's Club users, Top 5 Pro Club Users = +1 movement marks
CC-B thru CC-Z - Top 10 Master's Club users, Top 10 Pro Club Users = +1 movement marks
2-100 = +1 movement mark
120-139 = -1 movement mark
140-159 = -2 movement marks
160+,DQ/WD = -3 movement marks

Changes are in bold.
Now finishing 160th or worse, including WD/DQ, will give you -3 movement marks
Also, if you start an event with negative movement marks and finish well you can earn a bonus movement mark (in addition to the one you get from finishing 2-100) for a total of +2 movement marks.

Schedule - Season 6 Events
Some special events that will happen during Season 6 include
- 6 Promotion Events
- President's Cup
- Olympic Tournament and Olympic Qualifying Tournament
- ZOZO Championship (PGA event) will take top 50 in FedEx at time of event
- Sentry Tournament of Champions - past winners of Season 5 and current winners of Season 6 will be invited
- US Open Qualifying - 3 events (similar to Season 5)
- Open Championship Qualifying - 1 event (similar to Season 5)
- Knockout style playoffs similar to Season 5 for Pro Tours


Design Contests
We are planning 5 main design contests during Season 6. Keep an eye on our forums for all the details pertaining to these contests.
11/1 - 1/31 World Cup of Design
2/1 - 4/30 Major Championship Design
5/1 - 6/30 TGCT CC Design Contest
7/1 - 8/31 Dream Team Competition
9/1 - 10/30 Rookie Design Challenge

*** Note: Winner of the Major Championship Design will host the Olympic Tournament

Which tour/society do you sign up to and play for Q school?

For those that are wondering why the European Tour schedule only goes to the end of 2019 - I'm waiting until they release their full schedule (usually around end of October) so it can be as accurate as possible.

Korn Ferry just got a tour name change - I copy/pasted the schedule from Season 5 for the most part and added some old unused tournament names that already had trophy cards created to fill any gaps.

As it stands, the euro schedule seems to show events going for 5 days and then a gap of 2 days between events? Is this how it will be?

That's on site (and it's a 1 day gap - all the Sundays) We show the end date as Saturday (even though you have until 8am UTC Sunday) so as not to give impression people have all day Sunday to play events. 

If you look at schedule last year that 1 day gap is there too.

Why did I get 4 emails yesterday telling me I was demoted for clubset violations?
I don't even play on the tours, or if I do I just use it as practise rounds.
