mrohde4 Controller only. Hands only. If you pass the API it should be a dead issue.

Yep. The crooked flick which provides a one way miss and 100 percent predictable ball flight should be allowed because it passes the api, even though 2 of the 3 platforms are unable to replicate that result.
I agree

Hard to believe that HB still doesn’t think anything is wrong with the swing. 🤪. On 2nd thought, it isn’t that hard to believe! I’ve said it from the beginning, this 90% on HB!

There is the tangible fact that flickers can choose to pass the api. They can decide to have the misfortune of a mishit only in the moment it doesnt hurt them most. On the mildest greens, to the widest fairways. This is compounded by the fact that a pulled shot is impossible, so this deliberate mishit is still actually pretty accurate. Just aim left. Need full loft? Better flick.. big wedge swing cone? Activate mishit. It's a joke I'm the first to admit that I was pulled by the api for this and that I used to defend it, but now I see it for what it really is. A boneheaded HB MISTAKE. This flicking thing is a game ruiner for those near the top, and it effects a whopping 125 players in a meaningful way across the entire playerbase, in other words, dont count on a fix for 202?. For me that means that I'm here for the community, the people, the courses and to play for fun. I used to think winning a pga event would be cool, but not at that cost. I will gladly join my medium brethren in their quest to win with integrity. Good day fellas I’m beginning to like you.

I think the saying has been changed to "Flicking a dead horse" over at HB.

Flicking is perfectly fine, and IF the user passes API checks that should be the end of it. At the end of the day, we are all moving a stick back, and then forward. Keep in mind, this movement is taking place with a video game controller which in no way, shape, or form has any relevance with real golf, or how people swing golf clubs in real life. There is a HUGE chasm between these completely separate entities.
So if any flickers are reading this, imho, those opposing your are just arbitrary noise. This might sound a weeee bit harsh to those disputing the validity of flicking, but in my eyes, those protesting are on the distinctly and emphatically wrong side of the issue.
It doesn't sound "harsh," it just sounds demonstrably false...

He operates from a faulty premise that flick swings are equal across platforms and that the API cannot be gamed by them.

sandsaver01 I came from WGT where a huge part of the community were into graphs, charts, overlays, rulers on screen, etc. You can only have those programs working if playing on a PC. Anyways, I stopped playing on PC after the 1st month or so of TGC 2019 and switched to PS4, where all my Tournaments have been on. Most of these guys (or anyone remembering) should already know this but are conveniently omitting it. I only play using the draw/fade markers for spin. Since coming back from my playing break all I use is a single page of printer paper, which I have hand written distances. Only one side of the paper has been written on.
My point? Don't believe all the negativity and hype. Unfortunately, some people put all their energy on attacking an individual person instead of remaining on point with relevant facts pertaining to the discussion.
"Relevant facts" LOADS of flickers are failing API, there are ways outside of the hardware of a console and a controller to fake it, golfers irl perform misshits fairly often, this game was designed to replicate that...

No idea if this holds up, but was wondering if the flickers don't play golf IRL. There seems to be a fundamental lack of understanding to the nuances and difficulty of the game and that it is a large part of the fun and challenge. The swing shouldn't be able to be replicated to a T. The greatest players in the world can't do it. Respect the game gentlemen, play it the way it was intended. I'd like to see TGCTOURS create a tour for those of us that do.
