CC - Master Clubs (331 submissions) Force Pro - 39% Yes, 61% No Cuts on CC - 57% Yes, 43% No CC - Pro Clubs (355 submissions)Force Pro - 70% yes, 30% No Cuts on CC - 57% yes, 43% No This is a bit baffling to me, nearly 40% of the Master Club users playing the CC would like to see Pro Clubs forced? Why are you using Master Clubs in the 1st place then? Then over 2/3 of the Pro Club users want Master Club users to submit to playing the Tours 'their' way? Really don't get that one either!
Unless I'm reading things wrong it doesn't make much sense to me. I've used Pro Clubs ONCE since this game came out & that was only recently to try to jump out of the CC cellar during a promotional event. Between just playing badly & missing a couple of months I kept dropping in the ranks & decided to try to get back on track. Didn't care for em' then & wouldn't use em' again for ANY reason. That's just my preference & that's what TGCT has been all about in the CC ranks, play with your preferred set of clubs (Master or Pro)!
You want a straight line nearly every time you swing in this game, well use Pro Clubs I suppose but kinda' takes the potential randomness out of virtual golf imho & that to me ain't any kind of golf!
They are wishing for Pro clubs ONLY. The current setup isn't like that. They are likely voting to have everyone play the same set throughout more than anything else.

Yeah I get that Bob, I was leaning in with a hint of sarcasm in relation to the 'forced' thing! Not my cup o' tea man! I use Master Clubs & enjoy the game that way if it goes to a forced Pro Club set I'm back to strictly sim golf is all! My feeling is it should stay as a to each their own thing at least until we see a new iteration of the game.

57% of Pros say that CC should not have cuts. 57% of CC players say that CC should have cuts. I found this to be pretty interesting. Flawed question for a broad audience. “You ordered the steak with potatoes, but were wondering if you think everyone who had the chicken should have been made to have the potatoes too, or was it ok that we let them have the salad instead?” I voted cut just because it seems to honor the “we replicate irl tour systems” credo, but honestly couldn’t care less since it doesn’t currently impact me, if that makes sense - and imagine that was a similar thought process for others, too. No vegetarian option? :/

OK, finally had some time to sit down and take a look over this. For a research/data nerd like me, pretty awesome to see! So, here are some thoughts/questions/inferences...
I'd be interested to see results split out by a couple of variables: - "Do you visit the TGCT Forums?" - Over a third of participants report rarely or never visiting these forums. That's more than 400 people who we really never hear from, so we can't truly know what their feelings are about all the hotly debated topics around here - what are their experiences like?
- "Do you watch What's Going On?!?" - Similar concept to above. These are people less likely to be engaged in the TGCT community.
- "How happy are you with the format of the tours?" - Good news, most everyone seems to be pretty pleased! There is, however, roughly 25% of respondents who scored this item a 3 or lower, which I find interesting. How do their responses to other items differ than those rating their satisfaction as either a 4 or 5?
- "Courses appropriate for your tour?" - While 85% of respondents report feeling that courses have been appropriate for their tour, that still leaves 15% that think they were not - why? Are there any other items which that group - the 15% - responded significantly different than those who believe courses have been appropriate?
Couple of other things that jump out out as interesting: - "Green speeds - same or variation?" - There's an 11% difference in responses between Pro and CC in variation of green speeds, with a larger percentage of Pro respondents indicating the desire for more variation in round-2-round green speeds (69%) than those on CC (58%).
- "Do you dislike very high winds?" - Roughly a 13% difference in responses to this item between Master and Pro Club users, with Pro Club players disliking very high winds (45%) more those using Master Clubs (32%).
- Preferred green speed - There's a pretty clear difference in green speed preference between tour levels, as you would imagine, but I found it interesting that only 11 of the 391 Pro Club users who responded reported preferring very fast speeds (2.8%), compared to nearly 20% of Master Club users.
Taking those last 3 bits of info together, it paints an interesting picture of the preference for difficulty - or more appropriately, what we'll call "challenge variables" (i.e., vf greens, vh winds, changes in green speed round-2-round) - between Master and Pro Clubset users:
This, to me, can help to explain some of the differences in preference for the type of experience in participating here at TGCT between Master and Pro Clubset users. It also might provide some small amount of insight into the huge gap between Master and Pro Clubset users opinions of whether Pro Clubs should be forced (36% Master vs 71% Pro) - and most interestingly, may hint at the rationale for why those 2 groups of players have such differing opinions on that question which directly relates to the games built-in difficulty levels.

Or, maybe no putters either ...

I’m new so excuse my ignorance but if people are using rubber bands or methods to straighten their swing, and using pro clubs/master clubs then it’s truly a completely different tournament. Everyone regardless should have to use masters clubs.... it’s like I finish 130 but if I look at people who only used master clubs I’d finish 55th and then people only on Xbox I’d finish 40th... kinda silly no? If cc-e players are shooting -50 for 4 rounds how did they get to cc-e in the first place? Seems like they would be in b or a... are the courses that much more difficult? Imo I don’t think so. Either way I’m having fun since joining 3 tournaments ago. Crazy consistence from those top guys.

Quoting this to get the thread back in line. Great observation here. It does seem those that play Master clubs enjoy a more difficult experience.

It does seem those that play Master clubs enjoy a more difficult experience. Oh yes - I think most were agreed that it was variation & a touch of randomness that the game desperately needed from the previous versions. Just a real shame that the randomness isn't evenly distributed across the platforms I suspect a lot of Pro club enforcers voted so with a heavy heart - a choice between a more realistic gameplay experience or fairness across platforms - is a tough one. I still haven't made up my mind...

Were I to vote rather than my planned retrospective complaining - it would be for Pro clubs across the board for the integrity of the tours. I left Web for the beginner tour. Being beaten is fine, being beaten by the platform you choose isn’t.
If I had a magic wand I’d make Master clubs on XBox how the game is for all 3 platforms.

all you need to do is break out PC players vs consoles
its ridiculous to be T7 on PC with master and be T52 vs pc and consoles/controllers
