David had a successful 4 rounds with a score of -38, though with all the missed putts it could have been better. "I should have finished on -52 with all the missed easy putts from 6-8 ft away, but hey, that's golf."

I think it's just lazy to have pretty much every par 4 within the same 20-30 yard range. Seeing I'm not a designer but am starting to do so, I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into creating a course for people like us to play on, I'm more inclined to just say thank you and move on to the next week, after all every week can't be Royal Portrush can it, just my 2 cents.

Victor Lane arrived at the golf course on Monday for a practice round to familiarize himself with the course since Chris P. Bacon had already reported that some very low scores were being posted in round 1. Sure enough, Bryan James was leading at -14, Daniel Waring put up a solid -13, and a host of others, including the likes of Jo Jo McDaniels and Mike Georgiades were in the clubhouse with -12's, not to mention Warwick Todd with a -11 and Tott N. Hamm with -10. Bottom line, Victor would have his work cut out for him if this was going to be a birdie shootout, as that is not his strong suit. He tends to finish higher in the events where the players have to grind out a score, like the top 10 he earned last week at Royal Portrush.
Victor's practice round had some good moments and some not-so-good moments, shooting a -9 overall after being -6 on the front. It'll take much more than that when the real thing comes around. He's not terribly in love with the course, figuring there must be cleaner designs for the tour to choose from, but he's not one to complain about that, so he'll push onward. When he got back to the clubhouse after his practice round the tournament officials handed him the tee sheet, and his eyes lit up. As it turns out, he'll be going off in a three ball match this afternoon with not only Darryl A. Montgomery, but BCT newcomer Jack Reed. BCTLive will have the coverage starting at 6:30pm ET over on Twitch at VctryLnSprts.

I don't really care about difficulty, scores don't generally vary week to week anyways. Visually it's nice, sure, but from a golf course design standpoint I think it's just lazy to have pretty much every par 4 within the same 20-30 yard range. At the moment, anything I play might as well be Carnoustie with a 40mph wind coming off the sea...so I'm happy enough to enjoy the scenery while I abuse the course.

The Gord Downie Memorial @ Ciotola Nebbiosa, Round 2.
After a 1st round 60 Mike would Tee off for his 2nd round 4 shots off round 1 leader Darryl A. Montgomery, yes Gollum was doing Gollum things again. Mike would start his round with 6 consecutive birdies and add another 3 on 7, 8 & 9 to be -8 under at the turn, then start off the back 9 with 3 more on 10, 11 & 12, unfortunately Mike could replicate his round 1 back 9 of -8 in his round but a round of 58 (-14) was still a good performance and see him sitting tied for 5th at -26 just 3 shots behind joint leaders Daniel Waring & Darryl A. Montgomery sitting at -29.

Isabella finally returned with Darryl's scorecard one month later. Luckily for Catdog, it was for the current week. She mumbled something about airplane peanuts before passing out. He is slightly disappointed, yet pleased to be heading into the final round with a single stroke advantage, owed no doubt to the eagle on the '3 shot' par 5 in round 3. That guy is really good at this game! No time to relax though as -12 is required to tie and 13 to defeat Darryl. Of course, Catdog is thinking 15 to make a nice clean 60 under for the event.
It seems a few others may be within shouting distance of the man himself

Darryl was extremely happy with his score this week. If it gets beat, it will have been earned. Good luck in the rounds guys.
PS Security detail has been alerted and no one with the name Isabella is allowed in or near the RV. She obviously has no intention but to steal scores and drink Darryl's alcohol.

-52 total for me. Had an awful third round of -10. I felt like I missed everything and after the first two rounds I played the par 5s horribly. I didn't birdie the 72nd hole which just made it even worse.
Nice scoring by everyone around me!

The Gord Downie Memorial @ Ciotola Nebbiosa, Round 3.
Heading into round 3 Mike would find himself just 3 shots off the lead, with the scores being very low this he would need another low round just to stay in contention for a top 5 spot. Mike would start out with 4 birdies in the 1st five holes but could only manage 2 more on the front 9, the back 9 would treat him better with birdies on the first 4 holes and another 3 on 15, 17 & 18 for a 3rd round score of 60 (-12) to be at -38 after 3 rounds but now 7 shots behind Thomas Hudson who shot a brilliant round of 55 to take a 1 shot lead over Darryl A. Montgomery into the final round. With no realistic chance of winning Mike would focus on trying hold onto a top 5 finish.

Just found this interesting that of 6 missed greens through round 3, 4 times I saved birdie. I've tried to sell my chipping technique to a few others who shy away from it due to the use of partial swings, but where would I be without those 4 birdies? If you want to try it my way, I'm happy to share what I do for a softer bounce and a truer roll, an extended putt.

Darryl just didn't have enough this week for the CatDog. The way he sniffs out birdies around those greens is hard to compete with. It's like he has 9 lives! Congrats on the solid play this week #CatDog!

The Gord Downie Memorial @ Ciotola Nebbiosa, Round 4.
The 4th round just wouldn’t fall the way Mike had hoped, sloppy play combined with putts that just wanted to say hi instead of dropping in for birdie would result in an average round. -6 for the front 9 was a fair start but the back 9 including a 4 hole stretch where the aforementioned putts just would drop would see him only post a -4 for the back 9, for a final round score of 62 (-10) and -48 for the tournament and any hope of a top 5 finish was gone with it, still 10th place finish for the week isn’t too bad.
Congratulations to Thomas Hudson on the win, with Darryl A. Montgomery & Daniel Waring filling out the minor placing well done guys.

Well played everyone.
Next week will be a shootout for sure, I am expecting scores near the 60s with reachable par 5s and a short course in general. Bring all of your wedges and a 2 wood and putt like your life depends on it! Good luck out there
