Don't ya just love courses with no light rough and fairways that kick your ball off them and into the rough! Haha Throw in the ridiculously high winds in round 2 and it's almost unplayable. Anyway had tempo issues and played ssshhhhiiiittt -3 -7 to be -10 at the cut which has absolutely no chance of making it... good luck out there boys and girls you're gonna need it!

Round 2 you played 2x better and the course is unplayable? Getting started early this week I got extremely lucky ... holed out for eagle from a bunker for starters haha

There were indeed a few interesting bounces out there - the tee shot at 6 is practically impossible to hold the fairway at all (bunker on right, cambers R-L, gale off the right every round) But there were also a few spots into greens where you could use slopes really nicely to get close.
-10 -4 (holy hell, was that round windy?!?!) -7 -11
-32 total.
Probably somewhere around the cut mark with -14 (as usual)
Some ups and downs - lovely eagle at the 1st in R2 - used the left slope short to swing it in, and then back down the ridge to leave a short putt. Had about 115 into one par 4 early on too - hit 8 iron perfect weight (so just 45 yards of wind effect!!)
Nice finish to the event though: a 45 footer rolled in at 17 in R4, then left myself 80ft for eagle at 18 - up 30 inches! (which I smashed off the far side of the green (with putter) and then chipped in for birdie! I wonder what on earth that shows for my stats?
Had a disagreement with the rules officials on the 10th in R1 - hit my tee shot behind the camera tower, and the bastards wouldn't give me a line of sight drop! Shocking!! And then a very weird one down 18 in R3 - hit it just left of the fairway bunker on the left - and then my second shot reacted like I was playing up a vertical slope - went about 20 yards forward (with 1-iron) straight in the left hazard. Made a good 6 in the end!

Shot -13 with two hole outs from the fairway in my practice round, so I’ve probably used all my luck for this week. We shall see...

There were indeed a few interesting bounces out there - the tee shot at 6 is practically impossible to hold the fairway at all (bunker on right, cambers R-L, gale off the right every round) I managed to hit the fairway @ 6 three times out of the four. 13 is the one that i found odd - couldn't clear the bunker into the wind and couldn't play shorter because you'd have left yourself 300 yards to the hole on a Par 4
Anyway, i started by 3 putting from seven feet for a Bogey on the first hole. Played ok after that, much better final 2 rounds than the first 2.
62-65-60-59 for a -42 total.
Meh

-8 and +1. Will try again next week! Swing was better (I'll take what I learned), but the putter was pretty awful from mid-range.

Some really long par 4s into the wind on this course, for sure!

-41.
Swing felt better than it has been, still fighting it at times but played some ballsy shots despite the uncertainty of the strike.
I played some ordinary golf in the middle two rounds, but didn't get a lot of help from the course either.
I got hot early in round four, holed out from about 180 near the turn to get to -10 or so? but failed to make any headway coming home.
The course was a brute in those winds, especially if your swing is suspect. Hole 13 was not a good par four, I hit fast/fast driver twice in one of the rounds and still came up short.
Overall I'm pretty pleased to be somewhere near the top of the leaderboard considering how I've been struggling for the last couple of months. Certainly something to build on.
Good luck all still to play.

Only had 1 bogey in each of the 2 rounds I played. Just couldn't seem to do anything on the front 9 in both and missed 3 putts under 10 feet in R2 playing too much break, bogeyed the 18th from 7 feet when the putt didn't break. I doubt -4 and -2 will make the cut, but happy with my ball striking and I seemed to get some lucky bounces that went from the rough into the fairway. Guessing I might avoid a strike this week if people give up in the R2 high winds and hit it all over the place. See you at the 3M, I'm off to the bar to see if I can get a drink with Princess Garcia

I really liked the course. It was in the US Open design contest and played a couple rounds with the designer toddfather on it but never in those round 2 winds, holy crap effer that was rough . I started out -10,ok by my standards but of course strokes left out there. Round 2 missed a 7 footer for eagle on #1 and next hole hit the approach shot the way I wanted and the wind took it 20+ yards right of the green(nice aim). The whole round was a scramble with only 57% FW hit and 55% GIR.Fortunate to not make a bogey and a couple bombs fell to salvage -7 evened out with a couple missed that a half decent putter makes all day long. Tough course in very tough conditions but I thought fair and scoreable otherwise and I accept the challenge.
