Mike Georgiades came to Timbercreek Canyon looking to improve on his 8th place finish in the Tin Cup Classic. Any confidence he had would take a blow after making bogie on the 1st hole, after gathering his composure and escaping with par on 2 he would go on to birdie holes 3, 4, 6 & 7 to be 3 under after the front nine. Disaster would strike on the 10th with a poor approach to the green to bogie the hole, he would get that shot back 12 only to give it away again on the 14th to be -2 after 14. Some nice putting down the final 4 holes would see him birdie holes 15, 16 & 18 to finish the round at -5. With Preston Winthorpe III shooting an incredible -16 for his 1st round that puts Mike 11 off the pace in 24th, with many other favorites still to tee off including Darryl A. Montgomery the winner of the last 2 tournaments a top 10 finish may well be beyond him.

Unless I fluke qualifying for the US Open this week, I’m coming down here to play on a level playing field. So sick of being beaten up on tour because I use an XBox and it’s so much harder for us to get decent timing compared to PC and particularly PS4.
Won’t be changing my name, will try not to bother anyone.

Hector Vazquez got a hookup from his unknown transportation sponsor and got to the course early this week to take some swings on the range and enjoy the environment at Timbercreek Canyon. After a disappointing display of golf last week he decided to slow his pace of play and take this week one round at a time. This week he would get out before Darryl A. Montgomery, Victor Lane, Justin Chantres, etc. so he did not feel like he was playing a game of catch up.
As he began the front nine in round 1 he gained some confidence watching 6 birdies fall into the cup. His putter was HOT! After the turn he grabbed 3 more birdies on 11, 12 and 13. He was sitting at -9 with 5 holes to play and it finally sunk in that he had a chance at completing a fantastic first round... It seemed to get to him a bit as the next four holes he made par with some less than desirable approach shots. He managed to come back with a birdie on 18 to end the round on a good note. All though feeling like it was a bit of a missed opportunity... Hector is satisfied with his first round 62. Especially because he only had 21 putts on the day!

Victor Lane has arrived on the grounds of Timbercreek Canyon, but won't be playing his opening round of the tournament for another day or so, as he's still nursing a pulled muscle in his back that left him struggling through the final rounds of the Tin Cup Classic last week. He has already been seen taking a peek at the leaderboard, and has found tour rivals Mike Georgiades, Brian Jeffords, and Hector Vazquez with respectable first rounds. There's been no sight of John Gripmore, Justin Chantres, or Darryl A. Montgomery yet, but one surprise on the leaderboard that hit Victor square in the face was a blistering -16 by Preston Winthorpe III. Lane has scouted Winthorpe III on his televised rounds the last few weeks, so he was aware that a round like this was possible, but to see it on the board to begin the event is certainly a punch to the gut.
In other BCT news, rumors had been swirling that Ray Morgan was submitting his application to join the tour, but has since mysteriously disappeared from the golfing community. No doubt the TGCT beat writers will be looking into that story for more details.

Would probably need to give more then 45 minutes for folks to respond but hopefully you get some takers Daniel. I, myself am just too busy to commit to it at this point in time. Too many rounds to get played in a week and some other commitments are looming in the distance. Maybe down the road I could join in on the fun, but for now I just can't.

It's fine. I will leave it for now. I sense i wouldn't get much interest anyway.
I am trying to find ways to make this game fun and the BCT is not doing that for me im afraid.
Thanks for responding, appreciate it!

Things were not going well for Victor Lane on the driving range last night, and some have reported seeing him break at least three clubs over his knee. It's possible that the stress of catching his tour rival Darryl, and seeing a hot round two leaderboard already filled at the top with a -24 by Paul Drislane, a -21 by friend Daniel Waring, and a -20 by fellow rival Justin Chantres has gotten Victor really bent out of shape this week.
BCT beat writers have been doing a little digging on the story and it turns out that this was true, and that he also bent his putter by throwing it at his bag after a poor session on the practice green as well. His caddie says that his club sponsor, Nitro Golf, has grabbed another set off the rack at Play-it-Again Sports to ship to him by Thursday night. According to Lane's caddie, he plans to tee it up on Friday morning with Darryl A. Montgomery.

Oh Victor... Word on the street is that his colorful emotions in the practice area actually drew the biggest crowd of the day. Meanwhile Hector scavenged some of the broken clubs after Victor left the range. He's got a guy who can weld them back together. Hector may be adding a few new clubs to his bag before beginning round 2 as he found himself between clubs on a few shots in Round 1. Finders Keepers...

All of the sudden the BCT has become the place to play! There are 86 names on the leaderboards at this point, and we know there are still more that haven't even teed it up yet. Victor's clubs will be arriving late this event via Wells Fargo covered wagon, so he'll be ready to go tomorrow morning with Darryl A. Montgomery. But the big concern this week is that Preston Winthorpe III has jumped out to a monstrous -26 through two rounds, and Jeff McCord is serving notice once again that this is HIS tour and he is not to be forgotten. Fellow rival John Gripmore has jumped onto the board at -18 through two rounds as well.
The Sultans of Swing Shootout is about to get exciting!

After a HOT start to round 3, started thinking about posting a number on moving day... here is a clip of hole 9... The dreaded 4 putt.. Ernie officially arrived to the Sultans Shootout. Commentator John immediately sees his opportunity and begins to rip Chantres a new one with his snarky yet very true comments, things fell apart quickly. Thoughts creep in.. of the scores Darryl, Victor, Hector, and PW3 will post. With no length off the tee and now no short game there was only one thing to do... call life long mentor and swing coach, Jack Daniels for advice. Suddenly... things seem to loosen up, pressure faded, everything just made sense again. With this said I'm proud to announce new caddy Jack Daniels on the bag to finish round 4. BTChes!!

Completely understandable Justin, Vic always plays better during the weeks he has his US veteran caddie, Cpt. Morgan, with him to instill discipline and work ethic.
