Padginator Hills Golf Club is open for your enjoyment.
Set in parkland, weaving amongst the lakes, it offers a championship test off the black tees at 7119 yards with less challenging tees for the members all the way down to the reds at 5911.
The Course has a natural feel and, as long as you stay straight and do not always pull the driver out of your bag, you should score well. If you stray from fairways and greens then life gets a touch more difficult.
Feedback on the design and playability is most welcome.
Pictures are posted on the HB Forum, I would be most grateful if the Course Photographer could add imsges here if that is possible please.

I would much appreciate some feedback on the Course if you all have a little time away from Artic Fury’s genius to encourage a newbie!
Many thanks

Mpad just played a round on your course. Played default settings and shot a -11. Five Stars and will play again. Keep in mind I only missed one putt all day of course on 18. Made a lot of saving pars and some pretty nice birdies so would not say the course was easy. In fact I think on very firm/very firm settings with high winds I would be happy staying around par which I will try next. As for some feedback overall. Liked the variety of holes, change of elevation, green contouring, eye candy but not too much and placement of bunkers off the tee. If this is your first design, I can only imagine what your next ones will look like because this one is a real winner. Thanks for putting this one out there for all of us to play. Look forward to your next course. Thanks.

Wow, thank you for that constructive feedback. I agree about some of the fairway bunkers. I only found how tricky they were when the game added wind!!
It is so good of you to take the time to play and comment as I simply had no idea how acceptable the Course would be.
PS i have not broken par on it yet, but that is because I am crap!

I see the course has got plenty of plays, thank you all
It is really interesting to see the stroke index added, which leads me to ask whether these are now fixed or do they change as the course is played?
I also see the course is rated difficult. Is that a good thing or not? If you play Pin Set One you will find the easier pin positions
As a new designer any feedback and info is so appreciated. I am hooked!

I am hooked! As far as I'm aware both the S/I and difficulty are fluid. As you get more plays both are likely to change. If you had 100 PGA players have a spin on your course it would likely be downgraded to easy as they'd shoot low scores.

Hey mpad, finally had a little time to take a spin around your 1st effort here & thought I'd pipe in with some constructive design comments.
1st off, keep it up man! I see what you were shooting for here in the way of as natural look as you could get out of the Boreal theme. Quite a bit of time spent smoothing out the external terrain I think which is all good but keep in mind that when you do that the larger the brush you use can effect things that you've already put in place such as fencing & bodies of water as is with hole #2.
The body of water close to the green on the left & also the creek in front of the green both have the edges sticking out of the ground. A couple of points about the fencing in the same area, 1st there were a couple posts missing & 2nd for my taste anyway, there just a little too squared off.
Using the smaller piece if fencing allows you to give em' a more rounded & natural look imo. And with some of the fencing going forward I noticed posts missing along with some pretty uneven post heights which don't have to be all the same but you take a look & I think you'll see what I mean.
Takes just a bit more 'smoothing the terrain time' in small increments around such things as well as larger items which was the case I think off hole 6 where there was a building off to the left that was up in the air a bit with some partial fencing sticking out of the ground. A bit of sculpting before & then smaller incremental sculpting after placing such things can help cosmetically.
I only had time to run through a 1/2 dozen holes but the layout seemed really nice along with the fact that you left a lot of sight lines available for enhanced views of the course.
Another thing I should mention is about the par 3 on the front where you started to run rocks around the green complex, just my opinion but running them all the way around would have look a bit better but that's just again my opinion.
Please don't take this as I'm picking on your effort here, I thing there's a lot of potential not only for a 2nd version of this track but also anything else you may put out in the future. A little....or lot as were more time running through areas of the course, over & over....& over before publishing can cure a lot of little things.
Anyway solid 1st effort mpad & look forward to what you brainstorm in round 2! Good luck man!

Really enjoyed your track. I like the minimalist approach and the natural feel of the golf course. Hit a lot of drivers -- maybe a couple more than I needed to, but you did a nice job of rewarding an aggressive line off the tee. I also enjoyed the sight-lines. I like courses with elevation change that make you think about distance control for your approach shots. The greens were fair, but tough -- not a lot of slopes working towards the flag (played pin #1). Overall, really nice. Shot 61 from back tees to pin #1 with birdies on 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 13, 16, 17 and 18. Missed a 7-footer for eagle on the last.
Would love if you would play my recent upload called Colonial Pines.

Wow, thank you mutigers. I so appreciate your feedback, particularly your appreciation of the naturalness of the Course which was my aim together with those sight-lines.
You murdered the Course which is rated difficult!!!
I will most definitely play Colonial Pines!!!.
