I've had a brief discussion with Chad about this but I appear to have found yet another advantage to the Lidar import tool.
When I did my first import of data I noticed that a number of trees where showing up in the designer as being a lot smaller than I can create using the designer scale option.
I queried with Chad if this could be implemented as a feature however it's difficult to do and if you try and change the tree type to a different tree then it resets the height to the minimum allowed in the designer.
One thing I have noticed though is that if you have a 'small' tree elsewhere in the plot and you select them and copy and paste, that it retains its small height and doesn't reset.
This is ideal if you want to plant the equivalent of young trees etc.

Wow...this is great news. Still haven't done any planting on my first lidar project but I'm close to starting.
