Hi Han - looks great... and given the European Tour was supposed to be playing at Valderrama this week, a few of us were hoping to play it. Has it been published yet? Many thanks You could play the beta..

Sorry for not replying earlier, I haven't really been online for about a week so I only just saw these posts tonight. It's not published yet sorry but as Yeltzman mentioned there is a beta available that I published not too long ago for some console guys to test a few things out for me so from a completion point of view it's not far off. Hopefully it should be ok for you for the time being at least

Can you tell us what the beta’s name is or are you not ready for that Han Doh ! A name would help wouldn't it It was a really imaginative name I used for it - "V54321" Also for anyone that is really bored and has too much time on their hands there is another earlier version from ages ago that I hadn't done that much work on. So if anyone was remotely interested in how the course has changed since then (probably nobody but you never know), they could play the early version first and then the latest one afterwards to see a proper comparison between the two. Even though it was from really early on it is completely playable (from the back tees at least) so its not all wonky tee boxes etc etc. Anyway that early version is named "V12345"

That beta looks almost almost perfect... I can't wait to see the final version.

Quick update for anyone still interested With the new game being so close to release I don't really see much point in me spending loads more time perfecting this version for it to become obsolete a couple of weeks later, so my current plan is the following : 1. Tidy it up by deleting all my "reminder" placeholder objects that are scattered around the course etc. 2. Check tees and pins are all ok. 3. Publish ! I am going to try and do all that by later tonight or at worst tomorrow. Also it is most likely this version will not have crowds etc but I'll see how much time and plant meter space I have left. Once the new game lands I can see what new stuff the designer has and can do an "improved" version then.

The beta is great Han. Lots of little touches that are very realistic e.g. the placement of the tree in the greenside bunker on 5. Looking forward to seeing the final cut.

I've been waiting with baited breath for a chance to play this. A couple of years ago I was one of 16 blokes from my club made the pilgrimage to play Valderrama. People said we were mad to pay 360 Euros for the round but they treated us like royalty and it was a magical experience. Your work brought back some really wonderful memories. I was able to exactly picture myself playing those holes. You absolutely nailed it, especially the darkness around many greens despite the strong sunshine. Thankfully the digital cork trees don't stop your ball dead in it's tracks like they do in real life. Unfortunately I played nearly as badly on your recreation as I did on the real thing, although I think my 25 points were good enough for 3rd place that day.

Published !
I'll add a thread and some details tomorrow
*Edit
For you guys that wanted this course for your society event, this version has no crowds etc on it as I need to free up some plant meter space to add them. I plan on doing that tomorrow and publishing a second "Tour" version with crowds etc added

Wow! I'd given up on this one!
Don't have time to play now, and may not tomorrow, hopefully I can.
Someone from my society has played and said it's spectacular, but there are some illegal pins?
Understand your logic for getting it out and now and doing a "final" version when the new game drops 👍

Someone from my society has played and said it's spectacular, but there are some illegal pins?If they turned the green speed or firmness up then yes there most likely will be. As I have previously stated the default settings are about as high as they can go without one or two greens becoming unplayable, certainly in terms of pin positions...…. not much I can do about that with it being a Lidar RCR. However if they played on the default settings then I don't know what to tell you other than maybe the dreaded publishing bug ? Myself and at least two other people checked the pins prior to publishing (both within the designer and playing local matches too). There were only two pins found that had yellow inside the 9 square box.....I fixed both of them by either smoothing the green itself or moving the pin.

Yeah, I was worried about the publishing bug, that's why I asked! Hopefully he just did what you said and changed the speeds, I'll ask him. Still super pumped about playing it! Congrats on getting her finished! 👏
