Few more in-progress pics. 3rd Tee 5th Tee 15th Tee A couple just of the 6th green showing the slopes etc. which depending on the pin plays from around 150 - 175 yds. I haven't done anything to it in way of sculpting, this is how it came out from the lidar data. By the way notice what the green speed is and the firmness is at 2.0 on the slider, so soft, maybe even very soft ? So it's pretty tame in how it is setup currently, imagine what it would be like maxed out ! Oh and don't take too much notice of the bunkers, I haven't done anything to them yet

PLEASE add crowds this close to the #9 tee box. This is giving me anxiety just looking at it.

PLEASE add crowds this close to the #9 tee box. This is giving me anxiety just looking at it. Here you go Although when you actually go to play the hole the game auto clears them a bit and this is what you get instead

Not an update on my progress I'm afraid, although I may have some more pics later this evening. The tournament started today so I bought myself a week's pass for Sky Sports just to watch it . It's as good as I am going to get without actually being there to get as much up to date info on the course as I can. If nothing else I should be able to get a good idea on the pin positions they use (although I missed the majority of today ). Bit of info about the course setup from the European Tour tournament page COURSE Opened - 1985 Course designer - Trent Jones Sr. Special features - Tough and challenging course General playability - Tight course where tee and approach shot accuracy will be crucial Undulating / flat - A bit undulating Tree lined / exposed - Tree lined with lots of cork trees Many / few water hazards - Water hazards in play on holes 4, 10 and 17 GREENS Type of grass - T1 Creeping Bent grass Height of cut - 3 mm Speed/stimpmeter reading - 12’6’’ Any specific comments - Small and undulating greens FAIRWAYS Type of grass - Bermuda Tifway 419 Height of cut - 9.5 mm General width and contouring - 30-35 yards Any specific comments - Narrow fairways with some undulations TEES / COLLARS Type of grass - Tees: Creeping Bent L93 Collars: T1 Creeping Bent grass Height of cut - 6 mm Any specific comments - n/a ROUGH Type of grass - Bermuda 419 and Rye grass around fairways / Tall fescue around greens Height of cut - semi - 30 mm - intermediate - N/A - rough - Topped at 83 mm on Friday before the event Any specific comments - Very dense and consistent grass around greens

Well so far from watching the tournament tv coverage I have managed to get most of the pin positions from each day. Day 1 - 15/18 Day 2 - 16/18 Day 3 - 16/18 Day 4 - To be honest a lot of them I had already guessed myself beforehand because on some of these greens there are only 4 places you could realistically put them Let's see what they have in store tomorrow Oh and I know it's a fairly obvious thing to say and applies to pretty much any course, but when the wind got up a bit in the afternoon on day 2 the course really started to show its teeth. The majority of the players who were out struggled considerably more than those who went out in the morning ">

Just found a couple of vids some guy has uploaded to YouTube in the last few days of him playing the course back in February this year. For my purpose in terms of details on the course they are absolutely amazing. As well as just filming him playing his shots or whatever he has filmed other general stuff in and around the course and clubhouse. He also does stuff like gives info and playing tips about each hole before teeing off and has done 360 degree panorama shots around most greens. He also films some "items of interest" on certain holes, like the waterfall and pools on hole 4, that show details that I would never know are there from looking on Google Earth or OSM, or to be honest even from any other "standard" source. The only downside to all is it means loads more work for me to do This is only because I want this course to be as accurate as it can be possibly be once it is completed (within the limitations of the designer of course),so having all the extra information that these videos give me means that I now I have dozens of new things that I need/want to add in and quite a few things that I need to alter slightly from what I had already done Anyway for anyone that is interested here they are : Part 1 - Front Nine Part 1 - Back Nine

I've made a scchedule for next season in one of my societies and this course has been pre-approved! It's not till WELL into the season, somewhere around wk18-22, depending on some changes that might be made, but that doesn't mean you should slack off!

Haha, no slacking here honest ! I've actually managed to get quite a bit done to the course over the last couple of days, not that you would probably tell if you were playing though so no pics this time. It was mostly boring and tedious "background" stuff and a bit of tidying up rather than the more noticeable "in your face" kind of thing, but still stuff that needed doing anyway. Still not there yet but things are coming together quite nicely (albeit slowly ) Might not get much done over the weekend however as I may be going down to Silverstone for the F1
