I love how sensitive the swing is on Xbox master clubs for casual playing. Feels very authentic to the struggles of real golf. I do get the occasional random very fast when I know it wasn’t though. For tour I choose to use pro clubs just so I can at least hold my head above water. I want to work on my true sim game because I feel there are more realistic scores there This is how I feel as well. Playing the game on masters clubs on the xbox is a great mix of difficulty with rewarding shots. The problem is that you can have a great round going in TGCT tournaments and the random very fast rears its ugly head and your struggling to stave off the demotion mark. When your playing multiplayer it is tolerable as its just one bad hole.

I was kind of shocked to read someone thought the graphics on ps4 pro weren't any good. I went from a ps4 to a ps4 pro, got anew sony top end 4k tv with HDR and the results were amazing. Games looks so different, but in a good way. Trees look better and the colors are just so vivid. I actually have the game on my laptop which is a higher end laptop and the game plays in 1080p at some ridiculous framerate well over 100...and the pro just destroys it graphically...sorry you didn't have the same result You gotta add Dolby Atmos. 👍

What's the consensus then on this?
After missing web.com by 2 shots, and constantly battling the tempo its made me really start to consider future on xbox.
Granted have to learn controller and the tempo, but I have aspirations to move up and feel xbox is just haulting progress.

You would go to the expense of buying another console just to get a promotion on a computer game. Unbelievable, mind there are others that have done this to keep their place in the top tours.

I've already have a ps4 pro so no expense at all, plus have ps4 credit so doesnt cost a penny. I just want to know if it's that different especially as many move over.

It must be easier on PS4 if you look at the data and also the people that have done it to keep their places in PGA. My gripe is there are people that come on here shouting how easy the game is then there are people willing to buy the game on another system to hopefully win promotion to a higher level. Really it was down to HB to make sure the game played the same on all systems.

You also need to ask yourself why they are moving over, the game looks no different and you get nothing extra on either system it’s just that one plays easier than the other. Wether that’s down to controller sensitivity or frame rates I don’t know. I admire the Xbox players that are playing on the pro tours knowing the disadvantage they are at, I will say no more.

Xbox is my main console, I have a PS4 for the exclusives and what not, most of my friend base is XB1.
The fact there is a difference and people have switched is the reason I'm thinking. Why should it be easier than another console? I enjoy the xbox and feel I'm a good player, but yet I know i'll have tempo issues that prevent usually 4 very good rounds. I'll not blame the tempo all the time, sometimes it is poor shooting but I know it has an effect.
I looked at the promotions into the web.com, out of all the availability 27 PS4/PC, only 4 XB1 users made it...

My point exactly I’ve had both consoles and the Xbox controller fits my hands so I play on that, I still don’t understand the logic of allowing the top 15 or so master club users to gain promotion marks irrespective of where they finish as all it does for me is let more PS4 users gain promotion quicker. My opinion is it doesn’t help Xbox players as much as they think with the inherent difference in difficulty between the two.

I’m just tired of scratching around in CC-A with the pro clubs going no where, it’s boring so I’m using masters even if I go down the tours.

I feel the xbox one users are punished, again, there are some brilliant xbox one golfers that deserve but the weighting is one sided for ps4, they are promoted quicker. I love masters and feel a sense of achievement but wish that it was more even, whether there is a number of marks for xbox and ps4 etc etc, I dont know.

If you want to be competitive and you have a PS4 and the cost of the game is not a problem - then choice is clear - PS4 is much easier than both PC & Xbox for tempo on masters clubs. Why it's different - well, the hardware for the systems is different, the game code will be compiled differently, so that's why they end up behaving differently. Even cross platform games like Rocket League are known to handle slightly differently between the various systems. The reason it's such a large difference for TGC - the masters swing sensitivity is dialled upto eleven - so even small differences get magnified. I wouldn't hold your breath for this being "fixed" in the next release... I don't think HB even consider it a bug.

Yeah if I didn't have a PS4, I would just stick with it but I really want to progress up the tours as think I could be good enough.
Ultimately wouldn't know until I've played and practised, but when it's not looking like a new TGC is coming out and no fix to address, then this might be my only option. I would like to promote for the Xbox and show it can be done, just it feels much harder to do consistently, whereas Pro clubs is far too easy and no skill in my eyes.

Xbox users do remarkably well, considering. But this thread exists for a reason... tgctours.proboards.com/thread/17725/xb1-top-50-world-rankingsOn the pro clubs being no skill - not really true - just no stick skill required. All the golfing elements are largely the same. Given the extreme difficulties in obtaining a level playing field on the swing mechanic in particular; differences between systems, short flick swing advantages, “custom equipment” being un-policeable etc... some argue that the swing should be dumbed down to pro to even all that crap out and we just then compete on the golf play. I’m a fence sitter on that debate currently - can see the argument tho.
