I thought someone was keeping a list of lidar courses? If that isn't easy enough to find, we should make sure that it is.It's no big deal, but with limited time, I find myself turning on the playstation and typing in "LiDAR" to find the courses I want to play lately.. Also, I don't see the course creators name unless it's done and published on the ps4 right? Either way, I didn't see the date of your original post, and the reason I'm even coming over to the tgctours forum is to see the Lidar list.. I believe you were the one that told me about this thread over at the TGC HB forums. Don't worry, I'm not being serious about the month ago thing. The community did change my initial thoughts and lidar has humbled me in how quickly the community has taken what I've made and ran with it. This thread will probably be the most authoritative. We'll just have to do our best to keep it up to date with the other forums and announcements.

So the courses marked 100% in the claiming sheet, but not seen on searches, are probably the ones the designer has chosen not to include "lidar" on when naming, I take it? (And no thread here in the forum...)
Would be cool to have a list of all lidar courses somewhere here in the forum...

Try searching for the listed name or at least part of it, and if nothing works then chances are not's not actually published? idk

Anyway we can date column added to this so that way we can track it when it gets to 100% completion? Reason being is a have a course tracking list for sim users and I reference this file to populate the sim user file. It's hard to tell if I have missed a course or not without knowing when a course was completed.

T GC2019 SEARCH : Meridian Hills GC L (this has the correct pars for holes 9 10 16 / version 'Meridian Hills GC Lidar' is incorrect pars so do not play that one.
Golf course : Meridian Hills CC Location: 7099 Spring Mill Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46260 Course/Club website : www.meridianhillscc.org/ I have made my first Lidar course. Its nothing to pretty but its a good fun course. Watch the default clubs on some holes you may want to go up or down. This is a real course located due north of Indianapolis, IN. It is a private course not open to public but does have a driving range practice course with bunkers and practice greens. This course is nothing to be critical of on a lot of the aesthetics vs the real challenge it can provide. I am from the area and drive by the course every day. I could spend a lot of time adding to it but I wanted you all to add it to the list of LIDAR courses that are the real deal. TY and happy golfing.

TGC SEARCH: Bridgewater Club LidarMy steam name in game is MentorEdit that will show the author. Already has a few plays nice scores. TGC SEARCH: Bridgewater Club LidarCourse name : The Bridgewater Club Course Location : 3535 EAST 161ST STREET CARMEL, IN 46033 Course Website: www.thebridgewaterclub.com/This is a private course in a gated neighborhood located in Carmel, IN. Object restrictions did not let me add 200 houses sorry . This course includes all 18 holes and pars and tees along with a full golf cart path (Golf Cart,Cart signage, trash, bench every hole!) that goes through the entire course. Each hole will judge your club usage depending on winds. These greens are fast and will have you plotting your strokes. Enjoy this course. TY and happy golfing.

I am thinking of doing Crooked Stick (LiDAR). I know DrLowden did it in TGC2 and ported it over to TGC2019, but that was not LiDAR, so I think it would be nice to do this course which is played by the PGA sometimes. I lived in Indy for 25 years and I was a volunteer worker there for the 2009 USGA Senior Open and really was intrigued by the layout. I have tried to message drlowden to ask if it was OK to do the course but have gotten no reply - he has not been on the site since April 2019 and has not posted since October 2018. What should I do?

I say go for it. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have more than one version of a course, especially since there’s not a lidar version already.

Is this a good place to request a course get designed? I’m an Xbox user and would love my course to get into the game

I think what Chris is describing is what helped me with Purgatory as far as file size Purgatory is a pretty flatish overall plot with mounding here and there....I also pulled in four LAS files and once I did all that tracing etc the file size was right at 9mb and the plant meter was right at half way I have pulled in a couple other courses to test, one last night that was 17mb and the meter was at 3/4 full but had a huge mountain on the east side of the plot I pulled in the lidar data again, reshuffled the mask a little and got it down to about 11mb but still maybe too big (BUT I LOVED the look of the course) problem is not a lot of photos and such on the site.. Its about 75 miles from me but I doubt theyd let a toadstool like me on the course to take pics ha ha ha I pulled in Arrowhead in Colorado recently... The course has some amazing rock formations through out the course, the lidar data pulled those in WONDERFULLY but the plot was like 27 mb and the plant meter was pegged so it would be a project I couldnt undertake Like Chris said finding a course with a plot that doesnt destroy the file size and meter is tough but doable, I just got very lucky on Purgatory that those factors werent a huge detriment and I published right at 8mb with a plant meter completely full... I've just recently published Arrowhead, called it Arrowhead GC (LiDAR), would love to get your feedback on it!

I just downloaded 2k21 and have been a long time member at the Course at Yale. I have seen a video of the course in The club 2019 will that be ported over to 2k21? My 2k21 is on ps4 from what I have seen I need The Club 2019 to make my own LIDAR course. Would that have to be in PC format? Thanks
