Examples :
I want to know..
1) do you ever tempo boost? Either on tee shots or in between on long irons/woods.
2) if you don't ever attempt this at all
And
3) your tour and platform. (Mouse or controller for pc)
This is just to satisfy my own curiosity, thanks for your input

Yup, I do it pretty much like your vid. Except I aim where I want ball to go and then purposely miss the cone to the right.

Yes, but mostly on approach shots which would otherwise fall just short rather than tee shots. I find I'm a bit erratic with a fast backswing though so usually limit it to a fast downswing. CC-A, PS4.

I do on tee shots and situational flop shots, my specific goal on a lot of tee shots is perfect/fast. Ever since I switched to masters I find it easy to get the perfect/fast combo with the driver, hits a bit further and I know where it is going.

I used to do this more off of the tee before the last patch when the benefits were greater. It was nerfed a fair bit by HB, so I don't try and fiddle with getting a fast downswing any more as it is harder for me to pull off and the benefits aren't as much as the risks.
I use a slow BS to take distance off of a longer club when in between clubs more than I use a fast BS on a shorter club. Personal preference.

I want to know how I can get my line to only go halfway up on the downswing.

I want to know how I can get my line to only go halfway up on the downswing. Couldn't tell you. I control tempo with ds length so fast swings are always going to be short. That's the way I've played since day 1

you simply stop the controller stick on your downswing before you get to the furthermost point it will go on the controller.
happens to me at least once a round, but its on accident. Its like, not following through with your club. It usually happens to me when I'm trying to hit a shot slower, and I slow down too much and accidentally stop. As long as you hit the line straight, it goes the same, ok, but sometimes, just like not following through on a real shot, it goes way wrong.
On the original question, I do this quite often, but rarely on purpose. lol. The most common one for me is to aim it right, and hit it fast so it curves back into play. I have a tendency to hit fast anyway, so a lot of times I just aim more right, or push my thumb more right to compensate for that.

I sometimes go for a fast backswing for the tee shot on a par 5. Otherwise I don’t bother.

I keep being surprised by people saying they change tempo for a between club shot to take a bit off. When I do that (slow/perfect) it takes LOADS off! Like 2.5 clubs worth...

I can't take any off using tempo. But I suppose if I can reliably hit a fast downswing, a slow backswing has to be possible to hit consistently. I've tried it but to no avail, but before the power fade fiasco I used to use slow downswing. That last patch really f@&%ed me

When I do that I'm talking about fast backswings to get 95/90/85/80% power, it's literally bread and butter on USE. I use slow backswing on very, very rare occasions, basically when the alternative is just too risky and it's a yolo effort - as you say slow backswing takes off so much that it's almost always useless.

Soooo what in the world is tempo boosting? Does this make your shots go farther?
