Sorry to hear you haven't been able to devote as much time to designing as you'd like, Cullen. I always appreciate your willingness to think outside the box, especially in contests where your ideas get more exposure. I haven't gotten around to playing Gladiator yet, but look forward to it.
Best of luck with the job search.

At the end of the day Cullen you're a great guy and a solid family man, and you're doing what's right by your family at this time, which nobody would blame you for. I played Gladiator last night and could definitely sense through the design that you had great ideas that didn't have time to come to life the way you imagined. I genuinely hope that you might have time to pull this project back into the designer when there's no time crunch and finish it the way you pictured.
Best wishes to you on the job search, I'm confident that you'll be finding a good fit soon!

So yeah, this is published. I realized in the past 3 weeks or so that I made a mistake getting into back to back contests so quickly. I should have known better considering my kiddos are involved in about 4 spring sports. To add onto that, I lost my job last week, so any spare time I’ve had has been reserved for blasting out resumes and setting up interviews. I’m getting into the weeds a little here. I don’t want this to come across as a poor pitiful me post. Really it’s more an apology to those running and competing in the contest for not producing a course worthy of even my own standards, let alone what is expected of a contest worthy course. I can’t wait to get into the game again so I can start playing through the other courses, which look brilliant, by the way. I thought your course played really well! At times it had a bit of an "empty" feel to it, and the reasons for that are obvious. But playing it is enjoyable! Good job

I also wanted to explain the idea behind the quad green as well. Believe it or not, there was a little more thought put into it than “let’s see how many greens we can squish together.”
I officially named that complex “the Coliseum,” because...we’ll duh. It was to be a focal point where fans gathered to watch a lot of simultaneous golf movement in a confined space. Imagine a player sinking a big putt on the 7th green on moving day followed by a roar from inside The Coliseum. Does a player have to back away from his lengthy par putt on the 17th? Does that affect the tee shot on the otherwise innocuous par three 8th? Just how many players will be craning their necks to see what is happening?!
Obviously, all of this can’t be captured in video game golf, but it’s fun to imagine the strategy and psychology of such a weird setup.
