Figured I'd better get a WIP thread placeholder started here.
Looking forward to really getting into this one. I only have two holes laid as of now, and they're on opposite sides of my plot. I'm not sure of the theme yet, but I'll figure that out later.
The course will include these ideas:
-A return to a Zilker Park strategy-based course. The US Open has traditionally been about narrow fairways and premium on finding the fairway. This will still be the case, as finding the parts of the fairway necessary to finding a reasonable approach into the green will still be at a premium.
-Fast and Firm
-A foray into waste areas
-A 260+ yard par 3 followed by a 260- yard par 4
This should be a lot of fun! I'll add some pictures as I go.

Great stuff, Cullen. I can imagine that we'll see quite a few long, narrow courses, so having something pretty much the opposite will give a healthy alternative. You did an excellent job with your angles on Zilker, I'm confident that you can do the same in a more contained environment.

I'm not winning this thing, but I'm putting some new outside-the-box ideas to work, including a central green complex that will house 4 different hole terminals and tee boxes, and will be surrounded by a quasi-stadium atmosphere.
It looks good in my head. Now it's just a matter of executing it...
