Sounds much like refereeing in every sport ever tbh - they are people - so will a) see the game differently to another referee and b) make mistakes occasionally. Yes, but to be fair this one was a REALLY bad call, possibly one of the worst I've ever seen at such a critical time. And I was cheering for the Rams! At least with the Evil Empire making the big show yet again it gives me a reason to emotionally invest in the outcome.
GO RAMS!!
Got to love their coach, that fake punt in their own half when they were 13-0 down might just be one of the ballsiest calls I've ever seen! If that was Adam Gase he would have faked it by running a draw play....
Hekker has a great arm.

That's as maybe Jimmy nevadaballin but it was still one hell of a call! Yep. Sure was. It's the playoffs. Got to expect every team to pull everything they have. When playing the Rams, and if you've done your scouting, you know that a Hekker pass is a 50/50 proposition from punt formation. The week before, the Saints went for it on 4th down from their 30 yd line vs the Eagles. Not punt formation though. But Taysom Hill could have pulled it off. That dude does everything. I bet he is their FG kicker too next season lol. #SwissArmyKnife

The referee could have sent the keeper off and probably should have called an ambulance Nope - goal kick! I stick to my original thesis... **really** bad calls have been around for as long as there have been people to make them The fans on the receiving end just have to suck it up - cest la vie!

I despise Maroon 5. Levine has one of the most annoying singing voices I've ever heard. Thank the tech gods for creating Mute buttons on remotes. Haha. I don’t know what’s worse, Maroon 5 for the Super Bowl or Imagine Dragons for the National Championship. I won’t pretend to be in tune with what people in their teens and early twenties like, but it sure isn’t those two.

And I’m nowhere near early 20s. Early 50s actually. I am “eclectic” maybe “eccentric”. Or maybe just plain strange.

It does not excuse the missed call in wide open, plain view in the Saints game. But I cannot say that call solely determined the outcome. The Saints still came away from that drive with the lead and 1:45 left in the game. There was opportunity there to close it out with a defensive stop. But the Rams got the FG to tie.
Actually, the Saints call did solely determine the outcome of the game. Because the Rams had either one or no timeouts left when that happened, at 1:45 left. So if the call had been made properly, it would have gave the Saints a first down, and all they had to do then was run out the clock and win.
I really didn't care who won, and I do agree that refs are human, and cannot be expected to not make mistakes, but that was one of the worst missed calls I've ever seen that actually did dictate the winner of the game. Like I said, if the call was made, the Saints win by just kneeling a couple times.
As for the Super Bowl, I'm not sure whether to pull for the Rams, the team I'd rather see win, or pull for NE in the hope that if they win Brady will go ahead and retire. LOL

Impossible to say it solely determined the outcome. The game was tied. The Rams had one timeout. If you recall the 1st down play after the 2 minute warning, the Saints chose to throw the ball. It was an incomplete wormburner to Michael Thomas. Many of us were confused why they even threw the ball in the first place. But that's the aggressiveness that Sean Payton has. So with that in mind, I'm not sold that in the moment - not afterwards during a press conference - that the Saints sit on the ball and try a FG. I think they try a shot at the end zone and who knows how that goes? Then there is no guarantee the FG is made. You cannot say 100% that they make the kick. A bad snap. a block, a miss, a penalty.... a lot of things could have happened. Unfortunately, we'll never know

Imagine Dragons makes music that is intended for playing over ESPN highlight reels or as cheesy pump up music at conferences and seminars. They are the definition of a band that was created in a board room. Sadly, I think Maroon 5 is the same... and I say sadly because their first album was actually good. Then they became a machine.

Back on the Super Bowl, though... I'm actually one of the few non-Pats fans that wants New England to win. I like seeing greatness, and Brady/Belechick is coming to an end in the near future. I also think that a lot of the faux-love being thrown at McVay is turning me off a bit.
.... also I have some wagers on the Pats.

Now Maroon 5... please cut my ears off. But I.D. is one of the best “modern” groups IMO

nevadaballin I see your point. Maybe a 90% chance it dictated the outcome then? or prevented a NO win?
Also forgot to mention, I love listening to Romostradamas. I think he is the best commentator in ages. I like how he explains things, without making you feel like he is talking down to you. Plus he is interesting and fun to listen to, unlike other former Dallas QB's.
Regarding the halftime show, I have no opinion. I had never heard of imagine dragons, when they said they would be at the National championship. When they were playing, I was like, hey, thats a phone commercial. hahah. But they were ok to listen to.

I guess people are boycotting the SB. That's a little extream.
Halftime at Superbowl usually suck.
How about you get 1 challenge for pass interface per half.
