Why would anyone beating the crap outta the web.com tour use their exemption just to go and be in the middle of the pack on the pga? Wouldn't you want to stay on top?

Depends on your motivation I suppose. If the whole point of TGC Tours is to 'simulate' pro golf life, do you think there is any player on the real web.com tour that wouldn't jump at the chance to earn their pga tour card? Plus, there is a fairness factor. If you are consistently at the top of the leaderboards on web.com, realistically you should be able to compete at the next level up. If people choose to play on tours that might be under their capabilities, that doesn't seem fair to the rest of the players that are playing the 'proper' tour for their abilities... and that is where people get frustrated. If you see a player on your tour putting up scores that are just out of reach for most, it could be demotivating for the rest of the players on that tour. That's just my opinion of course.

Don't you want to eat at the top table, even if it's hard work? I do. The better the players you compete against, the greater your potential for improvement

Wind should be the same for everybody for each tournament. How is this fair that I have to play with winds 7mph faster than other players. You ever played a real golf comp, where the wind & rain is nowhere to be seen in the morning, & in the afternoon its 30 mph winds & chucking it down.

After a solid 4th place finish last week and a 59 practice round this morning, I went out and played my first two rounds. First round went pretty well, though I did have 3-4 putts that just missed. Then I blew up in the second round and will most likely miss the cut this week. I had a stretch in the back 9 of the second round that went +4 (found water twice), bogey, bogey. Giving up 6 strokes to par in three holes is just not going to get it done. It was very windy today, but the blame falls squarely on my shoulders.
R1: 62 (-10) R2: 70 (-2, -12 total)
I was almost surely going to use my exemption earned last week for next week's PGA event, but now am reconsidering it.

I hadn't thought of this, IRL, you could choose to stay on the Web.com tour too.

Regardless of when you can use an exemption mes makes the point I was trying to make, if you don't think your ready to step up but have an exemption IMO your better staying put and getting another tourna on the web or champs tour under your belt to gain more experience.
Can the lower tours not be locked to anyone that is deemed to good for that level?

Hitting -16 average on practice rounds and -17 best round on this course. Start playing for real and I fall apart like a Chinesse motorbike, that's why I love these Tourney's lol. Hit R1 59 and R2 59.Going to struggle to make the top 50. Fair play to the guy leading who hit -20 first round.

Why so much b%&in about the wind??... Over the 4 rounds i played along with R.Auld the wind was between 12-20mph and i shot -49. He was mid 40s also. The whole idea of tgc tours is to be as close to the real thing as possible so it can hardly be the same wind for everyone over the whole week! My advice?....Spend a bit less time on the forums complaining and a bit more time on the course!!!

I struggled big time last week and missed the cut. Huge difference in course difficulty this week, it was like throwing darts! 59,60,61,59 puts me in the top 5 on PC and I've earned an exemption, happy days!

Tried to go for t g e green on the 14th & ended in the water.....TWICE $#@/$#$ Finished my other 2 rounds 62, 65. Looking at the scores I wouldn't have made the cut anyway.

63,61,61,61 for -42. 5-17mph winds all four rounds. Hole in one on 18 in he first round saved my hopes for making cut. Dozens of 2 inch par putts doomed me to top 60 if I'm lucky. Congrats to those that posted scores 13-14 strokes under their scoring avg.......

I don't recall too many PGA players telling their caddy during a tournament let's wait a few hours or come back tomorrow and see if the wind dies down. I could be wrong.

By the way things are shaping up on the leaderboard so far, don't take this the wrong way but I don't think you'll make the cut. I am in no worry of missing a cut but I think my score will be fine, although I already have an exemptions on the PGA Tour. As it stands the predicted cut is 120, I shot 122 as well so hoping we both might sneak in.

That's currently good for 27th, and it looks like most scores are in... I think you are mistaking the cut line of 120 as the score, when it's actually the positions.
