I got hit with the 17 mph winds also. Was doing ok with -11 up to 18 hole and then got a major gust of wind, 17 mph, in my face and with a slight misfit to the right, my ball sailed into the water. Ended up with a double bogey. Still fun though.

LOL and someone is -38 after 2 rounds WTF. Impossible. In 0-7 winds this course is a piece of cake. I had winds as high as 9 (not high compared to what you can get i know) I shot -16 without being able to reach 3 of the par 5s in two. -38 is completely within the realm of possibilities on this course.

Some holes you just can't hit in regulation because of the strength of the wind, and the way it's going. Like a hole protected with water at the front. If it's downwind and really gusty, all you can hope for is hitting the front of the green and maybe having your ball roll into the fringe, but usually ends up in the rough. It's tough..

In all seriousness, about 50-75 guys are going to get sponsors exemptions. Is there a contingency rule for this? No, and we're very excited to see it all play out. There are so many Web members right now that the huge amount leaving for one week won't affect numbers there. We'll adjust the max field to accommodate the extra sponsor exemptions on the two pro tours. Should be interesting watching everyone try to make the cut (with exemptions) on a pro tour with a large field. I would suspect that a select few will earn cards but who knows, that's why we play it out.

Can people please stop complaining about the wind, it is what it is, I played the 1st 2 rounds with G. McQuillan last night and we both had anything from 12 up 20 mph and we both went pretty low, word of advice, get on with it!!!
Also iv 3 exemptions but I'm happy to stay and play on the web.com to try and get my card that way, just because people have exemptions dosnt mean they'll jump straight into the next tourna to use it.

just because people have exemptions dosnt mean they'll jump straight into the next tourna to use it. Well actually it does. Exemptions earned through tournaments are only valid for the next available tournament on the higher tour . It's only Q school earned exemptions that can be used as and when

Shot a 62, 62, 66. The wind got me on the third round and that was a good score for me thanks to lots of scrambling. I got a par on the first hole in round three and that's like shooting a bogey. Somebody has a round of 52. Isn't that like a perfect round, all birdies and all eagles?
Easy course but I think the wind should be the same for everyone during tournaments. I know some players hold off until the wind dies which should be against the rules just like they've added rules about chipping on the green.

Wind should be the same for everybody for each tournament. How is this fair that I have to play with winds 7mph faster than other players. This has been discussed ad nauseum. There is nothing that can be done at this point to address the issue. By the way, I and most everybody, agree with you.

I don't remember which round it was, but I started my round with an eagle on #1 and was off to the races.....until #2. Got a 90%-er and ended up with a bogey. ARRGGG! Should have torn this course up, but won't even make the cut with a -18 after the first two rounds.

Really! I earned an exemption last week and I never used it this week. An exemption earned from one of the scoring metrics is only good for the following weeks event. For example, if you earned an exemption during the W04 tournament, it would only be good to be used in W06. (since, by the time it is awarded, W05 is already underway). But you can't save it for a different time. As schatuk said, only exemptions earned in Q-School can be 'saved' to be used where one wishes.
