With respect to the previous discussion about mouse players, I just want to throw in my experience. I joined TGCTours in July and follow the forum regularly, but have rarely posted so far. Anyway, I have owned virtually every golf game that's ever been released (PC and PS3/PS4)and have always been a mouse user for PC. Got to a point at the end of Season 4 where I was posting some pretty good scores, but since the release of TGC 2019, I have been unable to find any consistency with the mouse. I tried adjusting DPI, sensitivity etc, but nothing seemed to make a noticeable difference. I finally abandoned the mouse and am learning to play all over again with an XBox One controller (bought one specifically for TGC 2019). I'm still having difficulty adapting because I'm not that great with a controller, but it's considerably better than the mouse. Even tried going back to the mouse over the weekend after the patch, but went right back to the controller due to having the same issues.

Yup, but you don't see many relatively flat greens and when at 180 and above "fa ged a boud it" lol. I might make 1 or 2 tough putts but usually, average +30 putts, I envy the folks with scores in the -30's -40's but I'll keep playing! Actually I’m most comfortable at 165 to 175. 170 takes the most skill in my mind . 187 is just stupid and not skill worthy and not actually putting. More tapping and hoping LOL. Just looked. 33 putts for a +3 in round 1 Putting just takes time like everything else......I’m still waiting I find that the 2019 pro clubs are more sensitive the tgc2 players, all I'm working on now is consistency and always will be LOL. Agreed on 165 to 175 but so much depends on the slopes and angles.

I am brand new to this game and will be entering q-school. My question is, are master coming required to play in the season? I'm awful with them! No masters not required for q-school but can be used.

I just played today for the first time in about 5 days, did they completely change the whole game? Distances are way different, i'm getting goofy swing tempos I wasn't getting before, what is going on?

HB Studios did server side tweaks to ball spin rate and trajectory.

When did this patch hit our systems? (I'm on Xbox One)
I thought I downloaded a patch a couple weeks ago or so. Was there a 2nd patch?

The swing tweaks don't come as a patch. HB can do that server side w/o doing the whole patch thing. I think there needs to be some nomenclature clarification here: Patch = an actual downloaded file to your platform that updates the game. Tweak = an update done on the server by the dev which does not require users to download any files at all. Also, a character on South Park. (Is there a better word to use other than Tweak?)

Ok thanks. So there was a Patch a short while back (couple weeks?), and then now a "Tweak" recently? When was the tweak done on the development server side? Also, if it's on the server side, how would my game receive the tweak if I'm not online?

For the "tweaks", game will already have it when you launch it, so, if you haven't "exited" the game, do so and re- launch it, then you're all good.

I'm hoping they will make a few more tweaks with the mouse swing. We have had zero and in TGC 2 there were four during beta and one after launch, so I think they can do a few things and still be well within the norms.

Correct. Hopefully i get this part right.... The tweak was initially done last week but they pulled it back due to some reported issues across all platforms. HB tuned the tweak some more and re-released it a day or two ago. That tweak - or "tuner" as EA Sports calls it when they update Madden this way, and is probably a better word than tweak - is what changed the club lengths and adjusted trajectories/roll outs. Anyone, feel free to correct me if any of the above that is wrong... but I think that's the right roll.
