Any pointers on how to play this hole? I personally hate the layout of this hole. I know most do not want to share your secrets........but? Have played maybe 4 practice rds and have not parred it yet.

I've played it way left and more toward the green and hit in the rough on purpose. Made birdies and pars that way. I've played it straight and had 240+ into the green and made birdies and pars that way, also. I also think I hit a 3W off the tee playing straight and lofted F/F driver playing left.

I de-loft the driver and sting one in with a little draw off the tee. Didn't have much success with 3w off the tee but de-loft necessary to stay on the FW. Leaves me a 3i-5i with a loft / deloft tweak and I'm about there.

I was looking at this thread, and not sure which hole you are talking about. 15 is NOT the hole with the ruins, as I think some are thinking. Its a dogleg left over water. So not sure if you meant to post 12 instead of 15 in your original post, because 12 is the one I have a lot of trouble with.
Remembering you posted this, last night I paid attention as I played it. On 15, I pretty much played it exactly as heycat did in the video. I used a driver, aimed for just over the beach/rocks, hit it right on the other side of that so it rolls across the fairway but not all the way across, then it was a straight shot to the green for par.

Fadgewacker, I appreciate your thoughts on the 15th. I figured it would be something like that. I have played it 4 times and have driven thru the fairway twice into the water and went into the water on the left once when I hooked it. A very thin fairway with water on both sides is very tough especially in high winds. Time will not allow me to practice very much and this hole I have really struggled with.

It is a very demanding tee shot. There is a layup section as well, and given the right wind I might think about it. As of yet I have not used it because because it turns a birdie op into a par situation. However, par>bogey or worse with the drops in this game. Also remember you can mitigate wind by working the ball against it. This will keep the rollout on the proper line instead of turning it sideways

***Course Designers Tip***
If you're confident enough and the wind is favourable go for the carry over the water with your tee shot, but make sure you also take the bunker our of play, this will then leave a short/mid iron into the green which slopes front left to back right. If you're not happy to take on the water, there's a long stretch of fairway down the right, which will leave a longer but straight approach shot into the green. Being brave off the tee could yield birdie, being conservative will mean you're happy with par.
Hit me up if you want anymore inside knowledge

Thanks all! I have only played this hole in 15+ winds. Maybe that is why I have struggled.

EDIT: I keep hitting the ruin, or rolling into the bunker to the right.

What clubs are you using? Masters? Pros? Makes a difference.
You can hit the other side of the FW with driver into a medium-ish headwind and a 2W with tailwind. It'll probably still go into the rough and possibly the bunker. Rough is a better miss and you can still hit the green in 2. Your 2nd shot will be from 150 or less methinks. 2 putts for par.
I've only played Bedes 4 times and I think I've made birdie here twice and par the other 2 in varying conditions.
Edit: I have no helpful info regarding Pro/Beginner clubs.

That is the meanest bunker I've ever seen. I've been drawing it around the ruin but it still leaves a crazy long shot. With the new 2w distance I've had some success getting it to roll down past the other more manageable bunker, but I think when it counts I'll be leaving it atop the hill. I really am curious how the gurus are playing this hole though
