TGCT as good as it is and as fun as it is, will never be able to run a fair and competitive season as long as they keep using TGC and its tempo mechanic. All PS4 users can adjust their controller to cap the motion of the stick to match that of a perfect tempo, and so can PC mouse such as razer, and on Xbox only the $150 xbox elite controller can do this which is why youre seeing the current test leaderboard full of ps4 players, some pc players, and the odd xbox player among it who can afford the elite pad. The fair play mechanic can and will be manipulated via profile switching on shots where you can afford a stray ball with a big fairway etc to keep your chart looking fair, then flick back to nail the approach.
laugh joke poke all you like, its happening.

The PS4/PC/Xbox split is as it is and pretty much how it's always been because the PS4 is comfortably the most popular console. You'll find a hell of a lot of PS4 players wherever you look on any leaderboard.
You yourself have spent way more time thinking about this stuff than the vast majority of the user base, most of whom wouldn't even know where to begin.
Are you seriously suggesting that a significant number of the top 10/25 in this event are manipulating stuff?
If so - that is proper tinfoil hat stuff. Guess the Earth is flat aswell?

I think you have been misinformed over the ability of Razer mice and mice in general. Yes things like DPI can be adjusted downwards which would in turn make it easier to hit it straight, but that has nothing to do with tempo. I can get a 100% straight shot with a single check mark in angle snapping (which would instantly trigger the API). I can change settings to slow down or speed up the amount of distance that the mouse pointer travels in lets say on inch of movement. I can adjust the sensitivity of the mouse or the acceleration of the mouse using TGC settings and Windows settings. None of these touch tempo. Simply put other than a golf type game that uses tempo would a person need to have settings that would move the mouse back n forth the same amount at the right amount of 'exacting' speed that creates a perfect/perfect tempo. So no manufacturer needs to write that into any of their software programs. I'm not saying that someone can't write a 3rd party script but then why even move the mouse? Click a button to have the mouse pointer move "X" backwards and "Y" forward in "Z" amount of time. That is pretty much what you are suggesting and it is simply wrong.
I agree with you that no site will ever be able to create a policy and police 100% fair play tournaments on the budget that TGCTours has. Perhaps if there were cash prizes associated with it and entry fees, the software needed to police it would be created but that isn't the case. Simply put much of what this site relies on is the honour system that people won't try to game the rules. Considering that HB's own societies and any other societies in game doesn't have access or use the provided API data HB gives to TGCTours, I think TGCT is doing a pretty darn good job with what is available to them. To come here and mock or diminish their efforts really shows bad form.
In other words, if you don't like what we have here, you don't need to play here.

Not if theyre smart about it. Leaderboard dominated by PS4 atm, wouldnt have anything to do with this which is part of the PS4 console, would it? Probably going to just play CC, then at least theres no advantage for people using tools since beginner and pro clubs can have the same outcome as someone with an advantage. They should have just allowed any clubs to be used, because the people at the top are going to be using long distance beginner clubs regardless due to hardware tweaks. This is part of the PS4 console?!?!? I don't even know what that menu is??!?!? Looks like something on a CPU for after-market controllers. Either way, I'm confused. Edit: Also, who in the hell actually sits there and finds ways to do this? It's quite absurd. I'm with the majority here...majority of best/better players/scores come from PS4. Period.
