I am really excited for Scott and the team mainly because of the amount of new members joining. They have done a great job ever since the first exhibition event.
What a course Vale Do Morgado was.
I'm sure that was an exhibition event. It was such a long time ago.

Okay...got the Masters swing down after 27 buckets of balls, a tgc1 shot chart, personal screen overlay of some naked girl, two 8th inch toe nails, and a comb with 3 broken teeth in it. Not sure what that's for yet but its working. Great decision for season 5....lovin it. 😉 Lmaooooo

So essentially if one had aspirations of someday getting to the pro levels from CC, you basically have to use the master clubs since at CC-A you are punished with no promo marks if you use anything but the master clubs. Not sure I understand the logic there. Is it to insure those that do promote up to web and beyond will be ready to compete with the master clubs?
No matter for me anyway, I'll be in the depths of CC-Am until I get better, one round at a time.
Anyway, as I mentioned before, great job guys! I've only been a member since August and already love the competition.
Looking forward to a great season 5 however and wherever I end up placing!

Will be a while before i'm there.

It's said that the club restrictions are so players can compete with others of similar skills on a 'level playing field.
What are the 'Pro' players afraid of?
The 'level playing field' is this game, why should players who excel with one set of clubs be barred from competing to be the best in the GAME?
If Pro clubs are really THAT advantageous, why wouldn't the 'elite' players just use them instead?
The club restrictions just seem a way to massage the egos of some, and divide the overall community.

Assume that in the CC-Pro and CC-AM divisions, if wanted, we can turn off all aids and these are not going to be locked to on? Wind meter, green grids, scout cam, putting marker? Just the way I like to play.

I don,t post on the forum to often, never really got anything constructive to say, however I will be the first to admit that for to long I have been quiet happy staying in the comfort zone using players clubs week after week picking up mid table finishers on the Euro, to afraid to make that step up to tour clubs, so in reflection my WR of 260 is based on my not trying to better myself in using tour clubs but looking good using players.
I know there are arguments for and against which clubs should be used where and when, but I fully agree with the new format and applaud Scott and the team for doing so, but I had a gut feeling that master clubs would have to be used on the Pro tours so I,ve been using them from the off, not brilliant but not to bad, -5 to -6 most rounds with the odd blip thrown in.
Anyway keep up the great work guys, loved being part of the tours and long may it continue.
Just one question, seeing has how we all have to do qschool again, do we keep our current WR or is everything being reset.

If Pro clubs are really THAT advantageous, why wouldn't the 'elite' players just use them instead? The club restrictions just seem a way to massage the egos of some, and divide the overall community. The Club sets are difficulty levels. Plain and simple. No about advantages or preferences about more accuracy or distance. They are not afraid, it's simply a way to have level fields without people being forced to used the harder sets. Cause, yes, they are harder and not a tactical decision. Otherwise you wouldn't see people not playing with them. You wouldn't see people that were saying that they could barely score under par in their rounds most of the time, then make the switch to a lower set and booom, all of the sudden that guy would have (most likely) much better scores, that person would go from barely scoring par most of the time to having decent to great scores with ease, depending on their abilities to set the shot more than being able to pull them. A great example here, without hopefully offending him, sorry if I do. Not my intention. Is Yates this week. He wrote he made the switch to lower and all of the sudden he scores almost -40 in the exhibition tournament. So the point is that its nice to see and have a level where if you wanna compete, you have to use the specific set and the people in it won't look at scores and wonder about what set the rest are using. It was the same for the previous game. I don't understand why the frustration about this. The new season is about slow movement. You all have 8 new tours where you can with practice with masters if you wish to, or just stick to the lowers one for the rest of the game if you don't want the stress. But the whole thing about, let me use easier and clubs a be part of the of the top tours is silly. You either want a relax tour or force yourself to struggle and reach that "top" status, you can't just have both

It would be nice if we kept all this info in the forum instead of Twitch, Discord etc. too may places to look at. What do they say about Too many cooks? We have a Discord server?

If I was to play all eight rounds with masters clubs and end up with a score that would put me in CC-C, but not enough people play all eight rounds with masters clubs to fill up the Pro tours would I then be put in one of the Pro tours automatically, even if my scores weren't good enough in the first place I'm getting back into TGCT after a long hiatus, and thinking I'll end up as #451 with masters clubs and start out again in the CC-Z

Been playing with inflames47 and other IB folks. We are all in the same basket, struggling hard with Master clubs using the mouse. I'm not going to go into Master clubs until I can at least get 80%+ on swings with Pro clubs and 50%+ with Masters. No reason to play with Master clubs competitively until I get to that point. At least I won't be alone. It took me 2 months to get to WT and another 6 months before i finally figured out the swing in TGC 2. Hopefully it won't take that long.At least time we have the CHOICE in Q-school what clubs we play and I am confident I'll be in good company should I make that choice. Sandbagger
