This is a continuation of my TGC2 society. For those who were not involved in that one, I generally do around 3-4 rounds per week, at a total of 1-3 courses (in other words, usually 1- or 2-rounders, with an occasional 3-round major). The goal of the society is to showcase great user designs in the community. The secondary purpose will be to exclusively showcase designs submitted to the OG Design Series. While I am generally one to provide a detailed look at the upcoming schedule in this place, things will be a little more scattered at the beginning as I try to get to various aspects of the game. For now here's a brief update: - 1st event of the season is live, with a 2-rounder at St Andrews Old Course. I believe the event will end tomorrow night, but I need to check tonight to make sure the dates came in correctly - The 2nd event will be a 1-rounder at Olafsen Skerries, with 2 days to play. - There may be a small gap over the weekend and Labor Day, but I will have new events ready for next week on Tuesday. I already have many courses in my to-play list to get started, and I will be avoiding courses contained in career mode to avoid burnout.

Not surprisingly, the dates are all screwy again. So the first event ends tonight, and I think the second event doesn't begin until Friday, which might result in me not being able to play it. I'll get it figured out next week.
4 players so far at the Old course, and one runaway winner, most likely (not me, could only muster a -7 over two rounds).

I was having trouble finding any non-HB PC societies last night. Will see if tonight's any different.

I was having trouble finding any non-HB PC societies last night. Will see if tonight's any different. It looks like societies don't show up on the Most Popular list unless they have a minimum number of members, so if you can't find something, you'll just have to do a search.

I was able to fix up the tournament dates, so Olafsen Skerries is live now through tomorrow night. I added two rounds at Spyglass for Saturday through Tuesday, so I can try to sneak in two rounds after my Labor Day trip. The schedule will be a little sporadic through next weekend, and then should settle into something a little more regular.

Does this society have a discord or chat service? I feel like it would be nice to have the opportunity to chat with fellow members.

I am usually squeezing my rounds in and not able to chat anyways. Maybe someone else could set it up if interested? I have no clue on these things. In society news, relatively good turn out with 23 finishing at Spyglass. Way up from the 7 or so I was pushing in TGC2. I'll look to update this space more often once work gets a little less hectic for me.

I am submitting this for my first entry into the Scorecard Hall of Fame: Top 3 highlights: 1. Eagle-Double on 8-9 2. Pars on 2 and 3 being the only holes with the same consecutive score in the round 3. Bogey-Birdie-bogey on 11-13

Looks like one of my real life scorecards (only 10 shots lower) from a consistency standpoint.

Nice course. A few quirky greens but overall a nice trek
63 for a -8 and a share of the clubhouse lead

This week we are finally showcasing a course in the society's namesake, the OG Design Series. Here is the full profile of Briarcliff Hollow: theoriginalgolfer.com/2018/09/17/og-showcase-briarcliff-hollow/The second entry has already been published, Holyoke Links Club, but first I wanted to sneak in something I've been wanting to do, a Sawgrass Showdown. We will play HB's version first, followed by friendbomber's, and we will see how they stack up.

Hey i have just joined your Society really enjoy the concept do we have to post scores or anything? Regards Hey, thanks for joining! No scores to post... although I like to post particularly bad scorecards that I am able to put together! Otherwise it's just a casual society to showcase some designs and to feature courses in my OG Design Series. Just finishing up Briarcliff Hollow, and have Holyoke next week. Doing a little Sawgrass Showdown in between.
