Like the +/- concept. Promotions/Demotions given for consistently good/poor play and means people will truly find their level rather than have their fate determined by one or two good/bad weeks.
Oh and farewell World Tour, we hardly knew ye

I would think the +1/-1 system would clear ONE of whatever you currently have, so if a player had 3 demos and finishes above the promo line, the +1 promo would remove a demo strike, this learning the player with 2 demos heading into the next week. We're discussing this now - as posted in the OP this is not the case but we're looking at switching to make it less punishing on those with promotion marks (would keep more pressure on those with demotion marks as well as it wouldn't clear multiple demotion marks with one made cut). The scenario where you have 4 promotion marks and then have your console die mid-event resulting in a Withdraw and a 6 mark swing (to 2 demotion marks) is not ideal - makes sense to adjust. Appreciate the feedback! Glad you are rethinking this. I'm all for the change but not all systems are created equal. There are days where my play is just terrible, (well worse than most times lol) bad net connection causing lag, HB servers may be wonky that day, steam update screws my swing (inside joke lol), the wooden puppet keeps hitting my arm mid swing, other people where their ps or xbox is flaky that day. I have no problem owning my own "I suck at this game" but there are others it seems like its from other issues like above. Would hate to have all promotion marks wiped due to circumstances out of my control. I know on my tournament days I reboot my router because my connection seems to degrade over time and whether it's placebo or not I like to reboot it. I can't seem to get a consistent experience with TGC2.

This is not a big deal, but, what is the plan for all the players that have not played over the last 8-10 weeks, or longer? I would suggest removing them from their current tours and have them go through Q-School if they return to the game. Like I said, not a big deal, but for some reason it bugs me to see all these names on said tour, and their WGR remaining yet they do not participate. Seems like the right time to make a clean break. Since we will be starting a new season. I'm sure it's a low priority, but just a thought.

Agree Rob especially with everyone trying to get promoted the the higher division's and playing week in week out.

That happens and people might deliberately not play so they can do Q-School again.
Plus, having hundreds and hundreds (even a thousand or so) of players doing another Q-School will make chaos for Admin.
PS: WGR degrades over time, so if they aren't playing then their WGR will slowly fall off.

Valid points. Maybe the Q-School part is a bit much, although, it would be nice to at least drop (Non participating players) down tours based on their WGR. Example: Non participating player with a WGR 1-200 PGA Non participating players WGR 201-300 Euro Non participating players WGR 301-400 Web and so on....
A non participating player would be anyone who has not played a tour event for over the last 12 weeks of season 4.
I feel this would clean up the tour of having 250 players or more at each level.

There are pros/cons of staying on same tour and pros/cons of doing a full Q-School to start season 5 - we're discussing it behind closed doors and finding that both options will likely be split 50/50 - there's no one option that will please everyone. We'll firm up that conversation in the near future and confirm our plans going forward.

Admin keeps tabs on active number of players on each tour and adjusts accordingly. Somewhere you will have a glut of inactives making a tour or tours seem larger than it is, but at the end of the day it is the size of the weekly fields that matter the most.
Also, someone that plays at a PGA level who is long inactive for say 6 months or so would have their WGR drop quite a bit. Would it be fair to those players on say, CC-A or so tour, to drop a player that has played at PGA level in the past to CC-A?

@swaeromotion Fair enough, Sounds like this has been thought about and admin have a plan for the way they choose to deal with it. If it's good enough for them it's good enough for me

I think promoting will be very very had like this. It takes a few weeks to get 5 promo's AND while working your way up to 5 promo's you can never miss the cut? Bit too hard maybe. Almost everyone misses the cut every now and then.

Personally I think a new Q school would be great be nice to let my 4 year old play a few rounds and give me a chance of a few wins as I attempt to get back to the top. I say only a chance as I’m sure I’ll have to battle with macmammy macbaby and mcdoggy each week.

Also loudly like to maybe see it brought down to 4?
