What do you have to do?
It's simple. Just play in the society and visit this thread to keep up with progress. There is no submitting of cards or posting scores (unless you want to so you can pressure your rival for that event).
Who is this for?
The society itself is casual and open to all players. However, to take part in the rivals league you must be:
How does it work?
Each player is matched up with a rival player in each event. You will play each player in your division on a round robin basis i.e. a different rival for each of the events.
This is not matchplay. Instead your total strokes will be compared to your rival and points will be awarded on the following basis:
The winner of each division will be the player that has the most points at the end of the season. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the winner of the head-to-head rivals match. If there are more than two tied players then the winner will be the one with the most points from the matches only involving the tied players. If there is still a tie then the winner will be the one who has played the most events in the season. If there is still a tie after that then the player with the best average score over the season will be the winner. Relegation ties will also be decided by the same winner/loser tie break rules with the ultimate loser being relegated.
At the end of the season, the bottom two players in each division will get relegated and the top two players will get promoted (if that is feasible).
I reserve the right to relegate or promote more players as I see fit in order to accommodate new players that meet the regular player criteria; remove players that don't play enough; and to expand or contract the size of each division.
USA vs Rest of the World
To give some added fun, I have also allocated each player based on their country of origin (as per the TGCT database) to either the USA or Rest of World. If a rivals match (in any division) has a USA player vs a RoW player then the points earned from that match up will count towards the USA vs RoW competition (a sort of President Ryder Cup!).
Old Masters Masters Masters side event [Not available in 2K21 or 2K23]
This was a side event for Main league participants that used Masters Clubs in TGC2019. It started in Season 24 and ended in Season 37.
It's a Knock-Out Cup
Starting in Season 25, this is a side knock-out event that runs through the season. Currently the main rounds are in Events 1, 3, 5, 6 & 7 and replay matches occur if required in Events 2, 4 (with tie-break rules deciding other rounds i.e. worst ranked player wins a halved match).
When do events occur?
To fit my schedule, there is 1 event each week of one round. The 2K23 society schedule runs off GMT. The events will run for the 7 days of Sunday through to Saturday.

- Assigned to a TGC Tours division (Q school is not sufficient)
- Playing regularly in the society
- Have a TGC Tours forum tag (to make communication easier & participation better)
- Ask to join in this thread or via PM to me
How does it work?

Other Rules & Info
- TGC Tours rules apply e.g. no chipping on greens within 75ft of the pin when there is no non-green obstruction, no straight shooters, etc
- Straight shooters will be banned (and is why you must be allocated to a TGC Tour so you have been through the TGCT device checks)
- There is now no fee to join the society. Each in-game regular event will have an entry fee of HB$100 and this goes into the prize pool
- The 2K23 society is currently using a Custom Masters swing-stick difficulty
- I like to schedule members courses but I will only do so if you are known to me as a designer of acceptable quality courses or have had a course accepted into the TGC Tours course database.
Seeding for Each Tournament
Each season is seeded on the following basis:
- Order of finishing from the previous season (so the overall winner gets the A1 slot, 2nd gets the A2 slot, etc)
- If positions are tied then those players are seeded in the same order as the previous season (unless tie-break rules were used to decide a top or bottom position)
- Demoted player gets #1 seed of new lower division (so the players demoted from A8 last season gets the B2 slot and A7 gets the B1)
- Promoted player gets #8 seed of new higher division (so the players promoted from B1 last season gets the A7 slot and B2 the A8 slot)
