Love the game, but those server issues is @!$#ing annoying... Seriously! Trying to finish the first run through of Conquest and I've gotten lost connection after several stronghold games so I have to go back and play them over lol. I've already taken over all of the open spaces so just have to beat all the strongholds but having to play some of them 2 times is a major grind. Not to mention the Blue Jays hold like 10 of the East Coast ones so I already have to play them a boatload of times as is.

I'm not a fan of these "missions" within the conquest. Either make it so we have to beat everyone or not...that's conquest. Making sure some guy had a single, run and stolen base in a game isn't "conquest"...that's a daily mission.

Having been able to play it a bit more these past couple of days... Does anyone else feel like these conquest games are a bit 'rigged'? Scheduled for only 3 innings but I've had more games go 5-6+ innings than end in 3 with a couple at 10+ innings because I just can't score runs. Almost every game ends 1-0. Granted my team is full of scrubs and flashback players right now to complete missions but this is on rookie after all. It's just hard hit line out after line out after line out until I finally pop a HR but it's just getting stupid. Last game I had a fully warmed up reliever put in the game yet he was 'tired' after 3 pitches, wtf? I never had any problem blowing through conquest games in '17 but something is different this year.

Drafted by the Pirates...like the club, but hope in the future to play for the Diamondbacks.

I've been so close to buying a PS4 to just play The Show. Sony should at least release it on PC or release '17 when '18 comes out.

Fortunately for those of us still on MLB 17 who like the thrill of buying cards in DD it's become a total sellers market. Getting some crazy amounts of stubs for some fairly common cards, especially equipment ones.

I brought my PS out of it's banishment, hooked it up, bought MLB 18 earlier this week and really loving it. Not much of a baseball fan but played a game similar to this when i was in the hospital last year on my ipad and enjoyed it so thought I would give this a try. Not regretting it at all. Love it, and man is this game deep with game play options.
Couple questions if I may.
1- I don't see me playing online in DD or any other way since I can't hit the ball at the best of times. So I've been selling all my silver and above player cards and thinking about beginning to purge the rest. Is this a mistake or should I be keeping all these cards no matter what level they are?
2- I'm about 4 or 5 seasons in. Turned down my 1'st contract, played another year in college. Accepted the next one with the Oakland A's as a bench player...two (or three or 4 i don't remember) lol years of that I finally got to arbitration and was offered a contract with the Blue Jays as a regular player (CF). 4 years, 11.5 million. Happily accepted and enjoying it. My question though. I'm in the year 2023..and not one of my team mates are players I recognize as Blue Jays...no idea who these rubes are. How do you get the regular Jays line up that you see in the real world? Or is it because I'm in 2023 and they are all dead or gone away?
Thanks for any help guys.

I purge out all of my player cards since I don't play DD mode. I have no reason to keep them since they do not benefit the game in RTTS or Franchise mode. You must be simming the hell out of your player to be in Year 2023 But being in year 2023 is why you don't recognize many of the players, many have retired or possibly sitting as FA's since they have regressed too much. I'm in year 2027 of my RTTS guy - I've played every bat, no simmed games at all. I've had this career going since MLB TS14 (loved that they allowed us to forward careers from one release to the next). I always check the Retired Players list at the end of each season to take a look at final career stats of popular players.

Ah thanks Jimmy. All that makes sense.
Did sim my 1’st two or 3 years in AA, AAA and the 1’st year I was with the A’s. Realized that was hurting me. Regretting it now. Didn’t know any better. Was a d prospect and my averages were very low. I now play the entire seasons manually. Considering starting over with a new guy but kind of grown attached to my guy now and have put a lot of work into him and on the team I want.

Years ago i used to sim thru some games but also discovered it hurts progression. I started doing At Bats only and that's all I do now for hitters. It makes each game go quicker (fielding and baserunning are a bit boring to me also). I expect my guy to be retiring within the next 4-5 seasons. I'll start a new career with a pitcher next.

Down the road I may go to just hitting but right now I'm kind of digging the fielding and base running. (yesterday found out about L2 and click a button to pick your base you want to run to..that has helped me a lot) Though the few games I played today it seemed like the computer was out to get me lol...couple times lost sight of the ball (play Center Field) only to see it bounce off the wall right in front of me. One time the right fielder is there to back me up...we both just stand there looking at the ball and they score an in the park home run on me. I seriously thought the other guy was going to pick up the ball. Wish I could have kicked him in the nuts lol. And my idiot manager needs to quit telling me to steal bases. I suck at it and get tagged all the time. Felt like he was setting me up for failure today. lol? /tinfoil hat/ I'm seriously liking this game and it's depth. Have less than a week playing it but love it. And I'm not a huge baseball fan either. Today I played a few games, decided to go purge a lot of my inventory, made around 13,000 in stubs, bought packs looking for some good equipment. It's like gambling...I'm addicted lol

My 1'st foray into the marketplace the other day I was an idiot with the search feature. Little while ago I learned how to use it properly and now have a diamond fielding glove and a few other trinkets. Out of stubs though.
