Hit me twice on the same hole, the 2nd at Augusta (er, I mean Magnolia). After the first time, I was mad at myself for not checking everything. The second time I was, well, a little more than mad. Just off the green in 2 and wound up with an 8. That's a day-ruining event right there. Is this being addressed? Was it already? It's a real PITA.  |

It gets me occasionally then I will be mindful of it for awhile but it will be good for so long I get a little lax and bam it strikes again. It does ruin your day!

I emailed the commissioner about this and I was told its a game issue not a tournament issue... I had the same thing happen to me with a tournament I was contending in and it hosed me because instead of chipping on the green I flew the green entirely into the water.

I believe what he means is when you are on the edge of the green 6yrds for the pin and you pitch instead of chip and you blow the green and end up in the water. I’ve done it many times. No idea why it does it but you have to be mindful every time.

its done this once per tournament for 3 straight weeks for me....irritating to say the least...cost me a couple strokes each rd

I’ve had it happen to me luckily I noticed the different swing animation and changed it before the shot. Doesn’t happen very often. |

I had issues like that all 4 rounds, had every glitch going especially the putting glitches.
TGC Tours say its a game issue not their servers, yet playing the official tourneys and in other societies the game played pretty near perfect.

A possible fix for this is change your shaft or even head color. I do this for my driver 3 and 5 woods then if i accidentally get the wrong club selected i usually notice mid swing before its too late...but often i catch it as soon as i see the club in my players hands.

This would work if the issue was using the wrong club but that's not the problem. The glitch is when you have the correct club but it automatically chooses the wrong shot type. If you aren't paying attention you will notice it's the wrong type of shot as soon as you swing the club back (for a pitch it's much quicker). Unfortunately at that point for most people it's too late because when you expected it to be a chip you would normally have a 50% swing or less. By the time you realize something is not right the ball is already soaring over the green. |
