Okay, I should be able to settle in at home for the next few weeks after a bunch of trips, so it's time to put a LOT more effort into this. I have about 8 holes surfaced, and I have a concept for everything moving forward. I'm guessing this course has very little chance of winning, and most people will probably hate it, but I am fully committed to a "concept." It will likely be one of my best courses, but not one of my favorites, and anybody from Web on down will never want to play it. LOL

I’m surfaced and sculpted through the third hole now, but I’ve gotta thank the crew on my Twitch stream for the encouragement. I have a love/hate relationship with this course right now and I’ve wanted to quit so many times. This course is all about artistic concept, so I’ve backed myself into a corner a bit. I may need my marketing director TreeWood to do the completed course post so that my ideas can be articulated well enough that it makes sense to everyone what I was trying to accomplish. On to hole 4... |

Laying out hole 1 of the restart.  Edit: just after I took this picture the power in our neighborhood went out for no apparent reason and I hadn’t saved yet, so I lost everything you see here. I feel like I am very close to abandoning this whole thing. |

I feel like I am very close to abandoning this whole thing. Booooooooooh In all seriousness Eric, the first project looks quite solid, simply forget about your original plans and let that course talk to you, it'll guide you  |

The whole front nine is surfaced. As you can see, this course is only a little over 6,800 yards from the tips, so it’ll be playable by all club sets. That’s because the difficulty on this track won’t come from the length. I may have started over, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be turning in some easy piece of crap at the deadline. My concept for Russia will still be evident, so get ready!  |
