As soon as this is done I'm going to dress up my player like this for my first round:  Btw it's клуб because the noun is masculine - and if the name you're going for is The Club at Chelyabinsk, it should really be Клуб в Челябинске, they don't use 'at' in quite the same way, it sounds more like "on" with "на". |

I know there's zero chance you just chucked the English into google translate, because it's absolutely useless for Russian! |

I know there's zero chance you just chucked the English into google translate, because it's absolutely useless for Russian! Believe it or not, that's exactly what I did. I do, however, speak German (I'm a translator), so I know how absolutely useless Google translate is. Keeping that in mind, I chose (as you can see) extremely simple linguistic structures - trying to avoid pretty much anything that could have an unfortunate synonym. Then, reverse-engineered the text back from cyrillic back into English for a quick check before finalizing. Still, not 100% correct, but close enough to suggest minor error in translation, which works under the circumstances! But, given that I appear to have broken protocol as outlined by Spetsnaz vice-director Nesbitenko above, I will be more than happy to provide updates to you first via PM. Much more preferable than the firing squad. :-) R. |
