I did stop running tournaments. Just was not getting that many players. I figured with it getting warmer there would be even less. I also have not been playing much at all. Maybe one round since the Masters. If people want me to start running it again I will. But I have had only one PM from Loco about it so it figured F it lol. I’m on more now than I have been, would play most if it were to restart 👍 |

I got destroyed I wasn't swinging well plus my putting is useless.hopefully with more time spent playing tst it will improve.i haven't sworn that much at the tv in ages my wife told me if I am not enjoying it to turn it off lol.

Any tst xbox users come &play in my society called true sim world tour we have about 10 people playing in it this week so far &want to add numbers.i got a nice schedule ready to go.this week is the jumeriah course then shinnecock is next week.got a couple of courses that will be used in tst too.this society is in preparation for frstdwn's(paul) 4 letter word society for tgc19 in which I will be helping Paul.we have players of all abilities&willing to help one starting out tst style

This is a response from Shaun about Societies in 2019. What I like about is he says we can have alternate events in the society. I think this will work well with the addition of having admins. So in theory we could have two societies in one. This would be a lot easier for say my society. I do not have to try and promote it all the time I can just pull from the guys playing TST. Of course if I am allowed to do so and be a admin to set up tournaments. Basically though societies with similar intrest could band together and have a one stop shop.

A lot of our focus in Society's for this iteration has been around expanding the event creation tools available to the the presidents and their admins. With the addition of alternate events I see a bigger opportunity for more inclusive societies and not needing to have 2-3 versions to spread people around. This hopefully cuts down the need to jump around. With that said, there is potential for a post-launch update to include more society slots when we have time to asses the data we get and the time to implement the change.
Some gameplay formats unfortunately don't fit the mechanics of societies with their requirements of sinking individuals for play. This was a big part of our push to have matchmaking and private matches added in this iteration, along with new modes like Skins and Alt-shot which were very important for us this time around.

This is the first time I have set up a Society in the year that TGC2 has been out! It is on PS4 only, and is named: Simulation with RCRs
Basics of this Society: -Public
-No fee to join or play events
-No handicap -4 rounds over a full week (may have a slight alter a.k.a. one-off of a 5 or 6 day event to get this on a universal weekly schedule on the same day every week)
Obviously, the title mentions that I am looking to get to simulation type settings. Will also offer exclusively RCRs from around the world.
Consider it in a test phase as I learn the ropes as a Society owner. Basically I want to offer a Society/place for those that want to test themselves and limit the assists offered in game, even further than the current TGCTours' TST settings in some cases. The testing part will ask players to alter their personal setting that cannot be enforced by a Society owner and for constructive feedback.
Week one will be under these options: Green Grid : Off
Lie Grid : Off
Shot Suggestion : Off
Scout Camera : Off
Appr & Putt Cameras: On
Measurement Mode : Precise (In the future might look at range, but might not)
Putting Marker : Marker Only (subject to test OFF in the future, but marker only will be the minimum with 'On' a non-option)
Show Wind Speed : Off (May ask to remove the meter altogether, but keep in mind the meter is never off in overhead view)
There will be no asks of other Society members to manually alter their personal settings in week # 1, but as you will read below, an honor system will be put in place in the future.
Looking forward into a further couple/few testing weeks: Things like those below would be on an honor system for each player to alter on their own to gauge a future set of options for this Society, and may be asked to be altered towards a harder/more simulation setting on the users' behalf:
'Follow Cam' On/Off
'Wind Meter' On/Off with the overhead cam glitch fixed so it is off there, too
'Ball Labels' On/Off
'Shot Feedback On/Off
Aiming Reticule On/Off
Show Flag Marker On/Off
Distance Info Position On Marker/In HUD/Off
Show Ball Trail On/Off
Default Turn Order On/Off
Turn Order Animation Full/Quick/None
The first event (Week 1) will be played at Royal St.George's - Sandwich (Pin #1,2,3, and 4) from the Blue (furthest) tees.

Unfortunately the options are too limited for what I want to put out there. Will see what TGC2019 has to offer. |
