This thread is for all the societies that play by the same rules as TST across all platforms.
XBOX SOCIETY
4 LETTER WORD
If you search 4 letter word in societies you will find it. It is open to all and follows the same rules as TST. It is also public so you can jump out and jump in if you are already in the max amount of societies.
Typically we go from Sat to Sat 4 rounds. I try to pick the most realistic courses . Including RCR and non RCRs.
It is a laid back society and we just play for coins. What I do is use 4 letter word is a warm up for TST. Helps me get ready.
Hope to see you out there.
Thanks.

I am not sure if everyone playing on Xbox knows this. If you search 4 letter word in societies you will find it. It is open to all and follows the same rules as TST. If the admin can sticky this I would appreciate it. I am not sure if PS4 or PC guys have a no assist societies but if they do they can add to the thread. Obviously I will change the title of thread if there are others on different platforms. Thanks. I'm sure Matt will, probably hasn't seen it yet

I may very well have to restart my monthly-seasonal Blue Fox Club out for PS4 users come March... I would need a reminder to play as I am not good at remembering Society events outside of TGCT events, but if it is 2 per week I could try to play at least one of them, if not two. My shift has definitely gone to TST style in TGC2 as the season goes on.

Woodlands & Wildlife on PS4. Allows scout cam but turns off shot suggestion. The rest is the same as TST as far as I can tell. Better for me than TST just because I can't get consistently good aiming information from the hole map. Why not? Because I'm....Crap With The Map®
(Disclaimer: I'm crap at a lot of other things in TGC2 as well.)

On Pc, Hurricane True Sim Club, so far we only have three guys, Dennis, Brad, and myself. Get out there and play some, it's good practice.

I joined up, but somehow all my buttons on the DualShock4 now map to completely wrong spots when I try to ply on PC/Steam?!? For my swing I had to push right on the D Pad for the backswing, and left on the D Pad for the downswing. Needless to say, this caused a laser line and I quit after two shots. The aiming waypoint (moving left to right to pick what area of the fairway to aim to) was on the wrong analog?not on the DPad. I never even tried a putt to see if the camera buttons were all wonky, which likely were.

Did you click the checkbox for ps4 configuration in the settings, that doesn't do much, still doesnt label the buttons correctly, but it might help, really not sure.

You could go in and pick each button, but I was afraid to mess with it for fear of screwing it up worse. This is why I never try too hard to get into PC gaming. Too much tinkering for my taste. I'd rather have plug and play with little or no trouble out of the box. I read Ron Duncan's thread posts sometimes and my head is like:

I read Ron Duncan's thread posts sometimes and my head is like: lmfao same here, he's always tweaking and poking and replacing some card or drive or something, half his score reports are pure tech talk lol I think on behalf of most PC players I can say we don't need to bother with all that for gaming, I've never even poked inside my PC once and it's run this game perfectly for me since day 1

I read Ron Duncan's thread posts sometimes and my head is like: I hear ya, i dont mess with anything, just plug my controller in with the usb, click that ps4 controller configuration button, and then play. Someone who knows more than me might know why your controller configuration is all crazy. Or just say oh well, and go back to ps4, but i think it would be worth it to figure it out.

Running a pc for gaming these days is easier than it has ever been. You are not just limited to poor performance that the console's have to put up with. You have the beauty of the option of graphic fidelity verses performance. Why just put up with awful framerates when you don't have to if you spend a little time configuring to get that sweet spot. Yes consoles are easy to plug and play , I know as I have one, but I'll always buy the PC version because 9 times out if 10 it's way better
