My favourite franchise game all time is going beta tommorow. Played this game since it came out in 1997. Everybody who ownes a PS4 Plus account can play it for free on the 9th of october till the 12th. I pre-ordered the game two months ago...waited so long for this...awsome. On the 18th of october the game goes for real...cant wait!

Only a measly 43GB download for anyone thinking about downloading the free trial. Fortunately I have unlimited internet but for anyone who doesn't you'll probably not want to bother. Never been a die hard GT fan but VR support means I'm likely to consider this once it goes on sale. For now Driveclub is sufficient to take care of my VR racing needs.

I've heard there is no career mode. Is that correct? It seems to be geared towards on-line play.

I don't quite understand it but it doesn't have your typical grind it out type of career mode. But rather driver lessons to teach you how to race to get you ready for multiplayer. Without seeing it from what I have read don't really like it. So far GT Sport isn't on my radar/list of games to buy when I get home because of the direction it seems to be going. Copy and paste of the description of the so called career mode Driving School This is all about learning racing techniques and how elements like tyre grip and vehicle balance must be controlled. You’ll do things like power in and out of the apex of a corner without veering off the road. Mission Challenge This is the largest of the sub modes. Here, you will apply what you learned in the Driving School to real-world situations. This could be making a certain number of overtakes, beating a time trial, staying ahead of opponents, knocking over cones and even competing in Gymkhana events. Circuit Experience This focuses on individual tracks, using reference videos to help you master the circuits sector-by-sector. Braking points and apexes become clearly marked and you learn how to deal with changes in camber and overtaking zones. Racing Etiquette This mode was inactive during my play session, but given that the Sport mode’s matchmaking and player rankings are impacted by your Sportsmanship Rating, I think it is clear what kind of experience you will find here. I am anxiously waiting to hear reviews of the online experience and races. Just got my wheel, stand, and headset a couple weeks ago and am working my way up the ranks at iracing.com :-) Hoping Pcars2 or GT Sport can compare with the online racing. Fingers crossed...

Im a huge fan of the GT series...played them all, but this one is the worst for people who cant afford a steering wheel like me. This game is just like Project Cars made for wheels and not for controllers. Its very hard. What a huge disappointment this game is. I was racing with someone in a lobby who had steering wheel. I asked him to join a lobby with the same car...No chance whatsoever to catch up. Wheels have huge advantage over controllers...what a shame!

Gets a 'meh' from me after my thus far limited play. I wouldn't however use that extensive review towards any decision to purchase it or not as I've always preferred arcade racers over sims and the Gran Turismo series has never been much more than a 'meh' for me.

I don't think I've ever been so disapointed with a game as I am with the limited time demo. I was a fan of earlier versions when I had my PS2. I didn't have a PS3 so really looking forward to this. When they labelled it Gran Turismo Sport it sounded like it was going in the right direction to me. I'm not a huge car fan, I'm a huge sports fan and I love motosport itself. Unless you're racing on line which I have very little interest in, the game is compleltey void of the anything sport whatsoever. No championships, no career. Gutted.

I'm sure once the game releases and the official leaderboards go live you'd see obviously cheated times get removed. This isn't the first racing game where stuff like that happened and it won't be the last.

Man I loved this game on Ps2. Spent hours trying to pass all the tests and racing.
I have NEVER seen a leaderborad on a online game that 100% legitimate. Find friends that are like minded as you and then you can play online and have fun. If not then you are at the mercy of randoms.

Looking forward to gt sport. I missed the demo, but from what I have read on here and from other places, seems like online racing is the main deal. Am i right in thinking that they have introduced a points system for clean racing, and how did anyone get on with that? With previous gt games it used to be carnage racing online, used to have to find a decent set of racers to play with, or friends you knew were clean.
