I've played every version since the very first on PS1. First two were literally jaw dropping - in recent years less so - mainly because competition in the racing space has meant there are some very good alternatives. The tests were always my favourite part - same as FRSTDWN I'd spend hours getting all the golds. From reading this thread - am I right in that they have removed the bronze/silver/gold tests from this version?

I was planning to get this but changed my mind after reading your posts. I too enjoyed gold silver bronze challenges. Having no career mode and knowing it suits wheels - meaning trying to compete online is futile - is disappointing. When's the new Grid coming out

Very disappointed there isn't an offline career mode. I was hoping they would pop one in. Like everyone else in here, long time GT fan but I'll be skipping this. Maybe the lack of sales will encourage a patch for offline.

Did anyone buy this game as I ordered but cancelled it after reading the negative problems with the game?

Reliably informed today that the challenges are still in it, but they're not do-able in VR VR support limited to 1v1 AI race on any track - that'll get boring pretty quickly. So I will likely be passing this year. May pick it up when it's cheap next year... if I'm lucky they may even patch in better VR support by then.

1 vs 1 VR is fairly lame especially when Driveclub VR managed to bring that whole game minus the weather effects over to VR at launch a year ago.
