You keep arguing amongst yourselves and I'll keep hacking it about on the CC tour. I used to think getting to the top was the pinnacle (or Donnay:) ) of this game. After seeing all the bickering I don't care anymore. It just comes across to a pleb like me as very clique.
Play golf don't play golf, It's your choice, it's a video game. One that keeps you entertained for free at the expense of hard work by others as well.
Maybe I'm biased cos I'm sh%$ but I for one will just keep on playing.

Same for me. Haven’t even completed a full season. Inside 100 for the first time 2 weeks ago. Still - it’s a badge of honour to get to it and compete with you guys, that’ll have to be my trophy. Previously had Brad and Ian to worry about, now got Sloaner, smurf and no doubt Hammo will step up to make sure he beats me lol. Heaps better chance at winning 😳 Don't worry bout me mate, you just try not choke from 1st place after 2 rounds this week......... wait a minute 🤔 Quite happy with this weeks performance Ryan. Let’s just have a look at the hottest player ranking on Monday princess 😉

Think I've typed up 10 posts in this thread and then just cancelled... there's no point in arguing with most of the people who are angry about this, their opinion isn't going to change. It sucks that the "realistic" tour structure of EURO/PGA at the top is gone, that is totally valid. But trying to say that somehow the lower level people are worse-off on this is grasping at straws.
The tours will change, everyone will get used to it, and life will go on.
Didn't say worse off. Just no better off. And yes, Web people are totally screwed as far as making their way to the top unless you really think it's just as easy to go... Web -> Euro ->PGA-> PGA + as it is to go... Web -> PGA or Euro (choice) To make it to the top. Yeah, good luck convincing anybody of that. If someone is good enough on web that they should be on pga+, they will make it there. Heck what I remember from web was everyone not wanting to take exemptions because they didn't think they could hack it on pga/euro. This fixes this somewhat in that they get to test their chops against the new euro tour which will be much less of a leap than in the old method. I think it'll prevent people from getting discouraged when they jump from web to euro since they likely will be able to compete right away and not just start facing cut after cut.

Tbf they choose PGA as top dawg tour and yet I played the first two rounds of this weeks PGA and id be second on the leaderboard. World 160th. It's akin to CC-Pro over there ffs Bunch of amateurs. I take it you didn't try the course we played last week, then. Too busy shooting -50s last week on the Euro.

[/b] [/span][/ul][/ul] - More WGR points available for regular events than PGA Tour [/quote]So these are my biggest issues/points of concern/etc. I have vocalized upon each one in various ways here already or at least mulled it over in my head. Kind of bumping this back into discussion as we got sidetracked yesterday. Still want to know why no cuts? Cutline and demotion line are the same in all tours that use a cut. Why the difference once you get to the very top? More work admin side I would understand, but I don't buy that is the case unless setting up an additional, new, tour makes a lot more work. A slightly softer cut among 50-65 players that shares the demotion strike line (say at 30) seems correct as the urgency to play well out the gate is still there... All players making this tour are used to having to make a cut after 36 holes, even if some don't really worry about it under the current structure. The initial fields should be straight up top 50 hottest players after the season ends, IMO. #9 and #10 are outside of the Top 50. #3 doesn't even play this game here at TGCT, and #1 has just started back up and has the skills to get there anyways. I don't see (yes, this is a snapshot in time and the number at four players may become 2 or 3) how making a small handful of players have to work up to the Top Tour really hurts the "new" PGA Tour, especially long term. If #9 and #10 start on the "new" PGA they may be in their new skill set, but they may be a little bit too low. Time will tell. Which moves me onto the next point I have... Maybe making some rule that if you win on "the new" PGA/Euro by more than X or XX (8, 10, 12?) shots, then you get an auto promotion up to the next tier? This is a little bit more work, sorry.. but it is simple and straight forward and makes it so to not keep a player on a tour longer than neccesary. Why would we allocate more points to the top tour than to the "new" regular PGA playing the same course under the same conditions? I am not advocating for some tricked up conditions for the same course, merely pointing out that two different players playing the same course on two different tours get two different point models. Someone on PGA can shoot better than a PGA+ player score wise and it is possible (maybe not probable) that they get less WGR points despite shooting a better score. If there is boost in WGR for PGA+, I hope it is a small one to offset this. I do understand that the top 5/ top 10 finishers are WGR top end heavy, so this is why I can accept a small disparity of WGR to offset. Finding that % is the crux. Having said all of that, in the end I do commend the wonderful staff of Admins, Course Reviewers, Course Schedulers, Rangers, and others I have forgotten that we have here at TGCTours.com and all the work the rest of us take for granted. You are what make this game so much MORE and why many, many of us keep playing week in and week out. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Promotion should be as easy and understandable as possible.
No 4 week accumulation of points. Just finish Top 3 or Top 5 and you get an exemption. Move up and hold your ground - as you have to do right now as well when having eraned an exemption.

When all is said and done, are these new changes a deal-breaker? Are people actually gonna leave because of this? I don't think so. I believe Tim, Scott, Jeff, et all are doing a fantastic job. If they believe this is the way forward, so be it. I, personally, like things how they are (I don't like change) but, like everyone else, I will tee up every week and try my hardest to improve and advance.

I don't think many people will leave because at the end of the day this site is the best run out there and people respect that, including me. I will always stay around (cue the haters) because i can't really leave after being around TGCTours for so long. I will just continue to hack it around playing like crap.

I will 100% guarantee you won’t have any haters if you only talk about your golf, and not your emotional state when playing it mate. Message me or any of the other people who are happy to listen with that stuff. Was only a couple of weeks ago you had a -15 in a round, it’ll come back 👍

I'm not even sure why this thread is this many pages of sh%$. What's the use? I was unaware that any of the admins got paid to actually do ANY of this? Like, it's a volunteer thing. They do it to provide us a golfing community that I think wouldn't exist outside of them. I wouldn't have stuck with TGC1 or TGC2 without them or this site. Period. Maybe we need a little less b%&ing? Maybe if you're that miserable you should quit? Maybe you should play something else? Maybe you should understand this is a GAME! IT ISN'T REAL LIFE! Jesus !&**ing Christ! Maybe we should say a little more thanks? God forbid their "other" jobs get easier on the backend of the programming side and what have you. I wouldn't have met most of y'all without this site. I'll play whatever they say I'll play. Wherever I get put. It doesn't matter because I enjoy the competition and banter. My hats off to the upper echelon and what they've achieved in this. #Inb4 Come on man, this post is silly.
Everyone knows Jesus' middle initial is H
It's Jesus H Christ.

With the new PGA + I think the game could be enjoyable again for me. The folks who want to dedicate serious time can & will but for the rest of us the PGA/Euro just got a whole lot more fun & level. Everyone on this adventure has a unique desire & varied amount of involvement. If you have 4,000 posts to the forum & play 20 rounds a week than good for you but don't expect everyone to do the same. The more flights & tours the better IMO.

One other thing I would mention as someone who has been playing since season one: I've seen basically everything changed that in the beginning was said to never be changed. Often on the forum over the years people have bashed one and other for requesting/pointing out changes that ultimately could & did happen. I remember Doyle telling me, "no way are we splitting up the CC tour into more flights". Now we have all kinds of flights all over the board.

I think the reason behind this is the amount of new players that have joined since release of TGC2.
