I do feel for the euro guys. I know they loved their tour, even if it was the inferior one 😂
I fully understand the reasons for the change, my only gripe is it's now nothing like how it works in real life, which is a shame, but sh%$ happens, and I'll certainly get over it

Also, having digested this a bit more, how come Euro and PGA still can't be equal with a choice of which to join? You could still have your 'hottest players' in the Seve Tour (see what I did there!), relegation from that puts you back in your chosen tour. Web still acts as the semi pro tour under that. Why does the Euro Tour have to become essentially the 3rd division? My dude forgot the T

As someone who will probably be somewhere near the tail end of the PGA+ or top end of the PGA, I don’t like the idea of bouncing between tours. I’d rather it had gone Web, PGA, Euro then Euro+ in the rankings, but that’s just my preference for Euro. Will players be able to qualify for majors from lower tiers? Will a last place on the PGA+ tour get the same or more WGR ranking points as first on the PGA tour? How will you police people sandbagging to avoid PGA+ I may end up running against the grain, but overall I like the idea. I may never win a trophy but getting to the top tour will be an achievement in itself - but honestly, can we call it something else??? Like maybe the champions league or Nicklaus tour or something? Legends Tour Masters Tour Anything is better than PGA+. Yea call it this

As long as we don't have a $%^#% Schedule in the Steve (the T is silent) / Legends Tour it should be ok i guess. Maybe keep it the same courses as the pga? Don't want to see a schedule like Ratel, Widows, Ratel, Ratel , and Ratel.

I am interested to hear the logic behind the changes. PGA Elite? I will never sniff that division but could be pretty interesting to see the big boys fighting it out.

dont like pga+ tho why not pga then euro then web If we look at the real life world of golf - there are millions of players. Only a small fraction of those are good enough to compete on professional tours. It's basically the same here at TGCT only on a smaller scale where there are a lot of decent players - but if you are really looking at who can compete for wins week in and week out on the PGA/Euro tours - you are not going to fill an entire PGA Tour with them. You can fill a half field though. This leaves the PGA Tour below a much more competitive tour for another 140 golfers. Likewise for the Euro below that and the Web below that. All of a sudden we have a full bevy of tours that many more people can sit down on the first tee and think they have a shot at winning. So basically, going to a PGA Tour combined with best from PGA/Euro players didn't solve the problem - we just don't have enough elite players to make a 120-140 player field competitive from top to bottom. Take the top 50-60 and put them in their own field makes this a possibility.

Should have a poll on the name. Well maybe not, then we'll end up calling it Boaty McBoatface.

Here is a scenario I can see happening. After a bit you have 10-20 players who have struck out and are now in the PGA but no players with 200 points to move up. Is that possible? Suddenly you have a PGA+ with 35 players or so. We'll adjust the points required to bump up to keep PGA+ at 50+ players. Come January, the WGR will kick in and also help.

Can we assume mandatory Tour mode difficulty level for PGA+, PGA, and Euro?

Why does the Euro Tour have to become essentially the 3rd division? Balance of tours, ease of coding, clear path to the top. The 1A and 1B model was a lot of admin work for me and it was tough keeping up - especially come playoff time. A lot of us on the admin side have been going full throttle for 3+ years and instead of burning out, we're adjusting to what we think will work better for more members while at the same time making our lives easier where possible.

It will be the exact same Event/Course as the PGA Tour except for Majors/WGC/Special events. Both tours will play out of the PGA Tour society. So Legends Tour? Yea? Good name? That was the name in its initial form - wasn't a unanimous hit. PGA+ was picked because it was easy to associate with the PGA Tour which it will mirror and be the society it plays out of in-game. Other than that, it's just a name and I'm sure people will end up calling it whatever they want.
