Seeing a -71 as the high score in Q School is in my opinion not good for any tour. In fact, anything below a -29 for a tournament should promote that player to exclusive play on the True Sim Tour.
The True Sim Tour SHOULD be the PGA Tour as it requires the highest level of play. Those who regularly score -30 or better should be required to move to this Tour.
It becomes very arcade like when we see scores like -40 or better regularly. Especially when this awesome site says it is the closest thing to the PGA tour for a video game.
True Sim Tour should be mandatory for those scoring -30 or better on a regular basis. Let's try and do as much as possible to make scoring more realistic. Otherwise, it's just another arcade game.

Most people find True Sim to be exceedingly tedious. Very few people enjoy playing with no aids - especially no green grid.
You would find a very small tour if people who shoot -40 are sent to a no-aids tour.
I stopped caring what people shoot. You can never make a game with 2 components (tempo and direction) simulate reality where there are dozens of components to a swing.
Put great players on easy courses and they light up the scoreboard. Just give kudos and move on.

Same player shot -37 in the True Sim Tour in game. Not getting the reasoning here. If you get too good, you can't play anymore?!?!

Personally, I feel that if you CAN'T score well in the normal game, YOU should go to your own special TST tour. Learn the game with no aids, then the normal game will be much easier when you work your way up. Only the best should have access to the aids.

What was your Q-school score, -30?

The scoring is pretty silly, I mean they are shooting -59 for the pga, I don't see how the game is fun when every single hole must be a birdie in order to just break the top 10. The part that really stinks is people cheat, so you never know whose scores are even honest. I can see shooting 10 under for each round and getting to 40, but when you start breaking 60 or 70, it's a bit too much.

Most of us would probably learn something.

I don't understand the animosity at a simple suggestion to help make the scores more credible in a "sim" game? Oh well.
I guess people are happy with the only way to win a tournament is birdie almost every hole...that's not simulation.

"I can't believe people were mad when me, a guy with less than a dozen posts, came to talk about what SHOULD be done with the tours! Don't you guys realize I KNOW what scores are acceptable? Really surprising to me that good and experienced players were not thrilled when I tried to tell them where they should play and how they should play." - You

Like any other rule. Players can't just pick which tour they want to play, can they? So why is it such a offensive thing to suggest that players who have maxed out a certain scoring range move to the True Sim Tour? The True Sim Tour would be a compliment to those players and a real challenge. The elite players could test themselves.

And if you think a -71 for a sim golf tournament is acceptable...then don't call this a sim tour.
