But why do you get to decide where the elite players play? What if they don’t enjoy tst play?
Just compete with the people you play against week to week. When you get to the top tour and have played there a bit maybe your opinion on what we should do will be listened to when the rules you’re suggesting apply to you.

And if you think a -71 for a sim golf tournament is acceptable.. .then don't call this a sim tour.I never have. Does that help now?

TST plays slower than normal rounds, for the obvious reasons. Not everyone has the time for playing that way. Normal rounds you can complete in 20-30 minutes, read greens in seconds etc. They may only have that time to spare each day to play. Yes there are people who very regularly shoot amazingly low scores, but they are not unstopable. Just look at the leaderboard for this weeks event on the European tour and see if you can spot the very well known elite player who has missed the cut at -12....only 1 stroke ahead of me, and I'm no elite player. If you play the game constantly you are going to know how to work any course in any condition, so even the difficult courses will play easy for you. Although they changed the shot modification box to not have a grid in it (to try stop the laser accuracy of shots), the exact same formula is still there just slightly different. Once you know how to work that you're dialing your shots in again. Same can be said for the tour clubs which are mandatory on the European and PGA tours.

Different style, different results from the main tours. This topic in some form or another has been around since before I even played here.

"I can't believe people were mad when me, a guy with less than a dozen posts, came to talk about what SHOULD be done with the tours! Don't you guys realize I KNOW what scores are acceptable? Really surprising to me that good and experienced players were not thrilled when I tried to tell them where they should play and how they should play." - You Players can't just pick which tour they want to play, can they? So why is it such a offensive thing to suggest that players who have maxed out a certain scoring range move to the True Sim Tour? Yes they can, if they are of the skill level you are talking about. PGA or Euro is their choice, and it is also their choice to participate in TST. It is offensive because you are suggesting some players will simply NOT be able to be judged on their grids-on play. Their grids-on stats will not be kept...despite that being the universally accepted way to play the game. TST takes way longer and players who practice more are at a distinct advantage, frustrating the more casual "elite" players (who definitely exist). Some also like playing 8 rounds a week (both PGA/Euro and TST)...you're suggesting they'll only be allowed to play 4 of those rounds. And to your last point, any score is acceptable for any tournament, in my eyes. If you choose to get distraught over little video game golfers making too many birdies, that's on you.

The low scores annoy me as well. But there is nothing TGCT can do or should do.
TST is in a way artificially difficult. There is information left out you normally have, when out on the golf course. So it is more difficult for sure - but it doesn't make it way more realistic than -60 winning scores.
The ball is in HBs field. It would be easy to make the game more realistic and the swing mechanic a little bit more complex. But they chose not to do. So we have to live with that.
Although i would like to play for instance real courses with a more realistic approach, i forget about it when teeing it up in a tournament. During a round i don't think about that shooting -12 in St. Andrews is seriously low. I concentrate and enjoy the competition with all the guys here.

TST is not way artificially difficult. The only thing that is not realistic is the no grids at times. Of course it is a big difference from grids to no grids but if you put TIME into LEARNING how to read them it is very rewarding way to play. Yes there are times like real golf where you cannot be sure on the break so you have to take a guess and just try and lag it up there and get your par. I have played my home course for 15 years and it has very nice greens and I still misread the greens. That is golf.
I have said many time we need a middle ground with the grids and no grids. A green map that is shows you the overhead breaks of the green would be peferct to be a bridge from grids to no grids IMOP.

No way is TST artificially difficult. However, it would be silly to make it the number one tour. It’s a niche sim tour and a lot of people prefer the easier/arcade way of playing games. That’s life. It’s nice that TGCTours caters to both sets of players.
If you hate the low scoring and prefer more realistic golf, play TST. Well, until you see Garcia’s unrealistic scoring and he beats you by 10 shots per round 😂😂😂 #golfinggenius #SirBrad

The game does not have a more sim oriented mode. It’s sad, but it is a fact.
Would love to see a mode that would yield realistic leaderboards with no aids, but also understand that such a set up is very niche.
