NOTE: Please do not post on rounds that have not been revealed on the leaderboard. Moderating is in effect and they will be removed. Please use the Locker Room threads to discuss rounds not revealed. Thanks! The Press Tent will be a feature on TGC Tours where you can come in after a round or tournament and answer some questions from the press. You can let off some steam or tell about some great (or not so great) shots. Some of your answers will be used in Tournament recaps. Have fun, keep it clean! Questions (answer as many or as few as you like) - What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
- What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
- What did you think of the course?
- How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
- Ask your own question and answer it!

What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
Managed to eagle second par5 to get my round back on track.
What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
Poor start, bogeyed first hole. After putting in lots of practice it didn't help the nerves with this poor start
How did you fare on the leaderboard?
I'm happy with the start but not sure even with -6 in Rnd 1 i'll survive the cut

Well, I think between the winds blowing 13-20 MPH+ and a putter that's broke ... I may as well just jump on the "Red Eye" home now. +20 ... totally looked like a hack job out there ... Good Luck! all ... If HB doesn't fix what they destroyed with this updated putter, I have no reason to play in anymore tournaments. I struggled with the putting before they made it impossible (at least before, it was manageable and you knew what to expect). Now, its Way too sensitive and inconsistent to control (even though I played 5 rounds prior) ... ridiculous ... Looks like Obsolete Nexus gets the "free" beers this round ...

I had a great 1st round but got glitched and put back to rd1, I still put a respectable game together with a couple of missed putts. I,m loving this game atm Ive practically worn the digital download out! LOL! That shots chart really does help in getting a good approach shot in, my favourite is PW, got the distances down to a tee with some slight tweeks here and there

I thought it was me with the putter!! I had a shot that was pretty much horizontal!!! and was thinking... that don,t look right HAhA! , Also.that would explain cbp123 game clip check it out, His golfer doesn't approach the ball to putt and hits it!

What was the highlight of your round/tournament? Well after last weeks disaster I decided to get an early start to this weeks tournament and it paid off in my round one score. I birdied three of my first five holes which was nice.
What was the low-light of your round/tournament? The low point was the couple bogeys I had on the front nine which if not for those I could of have a spectacular round instead of a great one.
What did you think of the course? The course is very nice and birdies are there to be had. Can't wait to play rounds 2,3 and 4.
How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat? Currently tied for 10th place. My goal this week is to make the cut then see what damage I can do to the leaderboard

What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
My swing. It just felt right out there today in round 1, amazing how effortless your swing feels, when you are hitting them well.
What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
The slight bit of doubt in my mind after last weeks performance, that it may still come crashing down.
What did you think of the course?
Course is just set up beautifully, would have been a perfect day with a bit less wind.
How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
Well it's only round 1, but after last week just aiming for the cut, a good round tomorrow, and I may feel a lot more relaxed going into rounds 3 and 4. Still a lot of blokes to complete there 1st round though so not counting any chickens before they hatch.

What was the highlight of your round/tournament?
I am posting this early (after one round but I know my score was so bad that I won't make the cut). My highlight was finishing the round with my PS4 controller still in one piece.
What was the low-light of your round/tournament?
Every single one of my putts. Purely brutal.
What did you think of the course?
Deceivingly difficult for me. And very very windy.
How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?
Well after 1 round I am locking down the Missed Cut category. I was trying to at least make the cut but it is funny how quickly that went out the window. I know this is a very negative post but I am at a loss to explain simply how bad my putting was. I think I had 4 putts minimum stop on the lip of the cut (if not 5). One hole I want to avoid this an blew it by the hole eventually ending with a 4 putt. Horrid round. Starting round 2 now just to do it for practice but really, that was a major disappointment.

I hear ya with the putting mate, I had a few that my ball decided it was not wanting to disappear in that little hole. I was thinking happy Gilmore at times......... ball go home, just go in the hole and go home!!! hahaha!

Hello Michael, little too early for that beer don't you think? Can I ask you some questions about your first 2 rounds? What was the highlight of your round/tournament?Well, after a questionable +20 on Q-school last week I put in a lot, and i mean a LOT, of practice which seems to pay off. I started my first round quite nervous but kept it together on the scorecard. No bogeys there. The back nine I played better which resulted in a good score at the end of round 1. Most enjoyable moments where 2 chip-ins. One where I missed the green from 65 yards (!) and a nice chip-in for eagle at the final hole. Round 2 was not spectacular but decent. Made no big mistakes but eventually missed some putts that where inviting the ball to go down. Guess a perfect round is not possible. Well except for Brian Lemons What was the low-light of your round/tournament?Can't say that there were some low-lights in the first 2 rounds. Although I did not manage to hit my full swing speed in a couple of occasions. Which challenged me to some longer approach shots. What did you think of the course?I arrived at this course a week before the tournament start. After a bunch of practice rounds I like to think that I know the spots on this course, where to hit.. what to avoid. Have to say that knowing the shots is another thing than executing them. How did you fare on the leaderboard? Who were you trying to beat?A fair amount of scores still needs to be submitted. There are a bunch of golfers out there who will probably score well on this course, but I will probably make the cut unless some magical happens, which was my goal for my first professional appearance at the web.com. Anything to share with the viewers?I'll take a few days of. Work on some of the weaker parts of my game and getting prepared for a steady final 2 rounds to climb up a little at the leaderboard. See you on sundaySure. Goedemiddag.

We grabbed Shawn Peach after his second round to have a quick chat.
What was the highlight of your round/tournament? "I think my overall gameplay. I really worked on my short game and putting after last week and it started to show. Still left some putts out there but I feel I've done enough to get me to the weekend. Also my Eagle on the third in the first round helped get things going"
What was the low-light of your round/tournament? "Hole 11!!!!!! I'm not sure what I was thinking! I blame my caddie for handing me the wrong club! Instead of chipping it on from just off the green I flopped it well over! Just watch the cringe worthy video from my highlights!"
What did you think of the course? "It's playing really soft which I think is a nice change from last week. I love a course that allows you to attack the pin locations and stick them but still be challenged with putting because of the undulation. Top marks for Brian Jeffords on his design"
How did you fare on the leaderboard? "Currently I think I'm well situated to make the weekend at -6. Thats the goal for this week and then finishing the tournament with two consistent weekend rounds."
Tournament Stats: Round 1: 70 (-2) Eagle: 1 Birdie: 3 Par: 12 Bogey: 1 Double Bogey: 1
Round 1: 68 (-4) Eagle: 0 Birdie: 7 Par: 9 Bogey: 1 Double Bogey: 1
Some Highlights from Round 1 and 2

So here's Dave Wilks, fresh from round 2
How did it go?
"Fine, not spectacular, after all the practice I've put in. I'm -12, hit a 65 & a 67"
You were disconsolate after missing the cut last week, do you think you'll be here for the weekend?
"Hope so but not counting my hens yet"
Have you changed anything since last week?
"Got a new caddy, we been on holiday to South Africa, played the Eagleton Bend course that the Euro boys were on last week, also played the new course that opened, Lions Den I think it's called...... wow"
Thanks Dave
"No probs, now where's the bar"

When I looked at video I realised I accidentally went to putter and then to many clicks back. I was focusing on where the ball was going to land I didn't take one last glance at the club.... Lesson learnt.
