All I know is I just had a plugged lie in a bunker some 145 yards from the green. Right to left lie with needing to go over a peninsula to a tucked green my tour clubs not only got me just over the bunker but actually stopped on the firm green just beyond the hole. Player clubs would have never held the green on that shot. This is why they are superior, if you hit a great shot you can get rewarded, had I miss hit that shot just a little I get a flyer or duck hook into the water. With player clubs I would have never tried that shot because I know that I couldn't hold the green.

Given that it seems people have started taking this week's event a little more seriously - and since everyone (on all Tours) is able to play with whatever clubs they want this week, I'd think it would be really interesting for the admins to give us a breakdown of how well everyone has scored with each clubs - not specifically by individuals, but by tour levels, something along the lines of: PGA/Euro Players - 80% tour, 20% players used in total. Top 20 finishers: 18 tour, 2 players. Top 50 finishers: 43 tour, 7 players. Web players:.. .......etc I'd suspect it may be interesting reading.... Im sure it will be looked at however at the risk of looking foolish if the numbers didnt pan out id bet on more cricket sounds from top side.

You don't fly a golf ball 145 from a plugged lie and stop it. Can't be done. Anything that would fly 145 from a plugged lie would not stop until at least 166-170... And flying it 145 from most plugged lies means you are probably a contender in the world long drive championship. From a semi decent bunker-lie, another story completely.

Not really worth debating otherwise.
