So it's a new week. New bag setup! Dr - 279 3W - 255 2H - 232 3I - 217 5H - 198 6I - 179 7I - 168 8I - 155 9I - 142 PW - 130 GW - 115 SW - 100 LW - 85 Putter Haha. It looks good, got all of the distances covered.. I saw in one incarnation of your bag you had a bunch of hybrids. Now you only have two.. Any real reason? I was using them for the added forgiveness. I started to look down at my controller last week as I start my swing and thru the backswing. Much, much more consistent in my line vs. the cone. So I feel I can use the upper irons. Have tried the 2I and 1I in the last week as well along with a 5W. I keep the 5H in there now for when I find the rough to have a more forgiving club with decent distance chance. Will I ever settle? Who knows. The 230ish slot is the one I keep rotating around the most. |

Yeah that's the range I mess with too..i have a 3wood & a 2hybrid then a 3iron at the moment.. Had a 2wood before with a 3 and 5 hybrid. I like to have one or two hybrids for a long rough shot.
Still playing around though.

Until just recently I played the 1 Iron instead of the 2 Hybrid. But over the last few weeks it seems like the sweet spot (red area) is smaller than it was a month ago on the 1 Iron.

I'm using the off week to tweak the bag as well. Currently I have:

I've been contemplating going full "Zach Johnson" and removing the 2H and replacing it with the Gap Wedge. Would make me lay-up on a lot of Par 5's, which might cost me a few eagle opportunities, but given my poor conversion rate, I probably should anyway.

It sounds like I'm in the same boat as everyone else, the gaps in the longer clubs are a real pain.
Right now I have a D, 3W, 2H, 3I, 5I. This would be perfect if I could add a 15th club and have a 4I. I dropped the 1I in favor of the 2H for the ease of hitting the ball, especially out of the rough. I'm pretty good at manipulating the loft box for the 3I since it's way less volatile than the short irons and wedges. I love that we can tweak away. I have kicked around going with more hybrids but I don't like how much they release on the greens.

I just leave the lob wedge out,easier at top end of bag then 👍

Hello,
Playing with the stock setup for now but am working on a distances-chart for Tour difficulty and will decide after I made that, which unfortunately is a very long process due to the workings of this game.
