Before I play a course, I look at the scorecard and especially look at the par 3's to make sure my bag has it covered. Example, a par 3 220 yd hole and I have a 235 yd club and a 210 yd club. I may look to change it. I carry all the wedges, as well.

lol i'm still just using the clubs the game had me default on. need to try some combos with 3 and 4 irons, 2h, gw, etc... what do y'all see with 3h or 3i? i know the iron distance is a little less but haven't played with it yet I highly recommend the GW personally. I carry the 3W after the driver. After that it is the 2 Hybrid. two clubs down it is the 5 Iron. Those clubs I am happy with. I have been going around and around with what club to put between the 2H and the 5I. Mostly I have been between the safety of the 4H and then the harder to swing, but yet more versatile 4I.

interesting Hartman. Do you find you can stop the 2 and 4 Hybrids on the long par 3's ok? Ha, you made me second guess my choices and so I switched out the 2H, 4H for th 3H, 3i combination. And I must say this new set works much better for me. The 2H was getting too much rollout and found myself not using it very often. Plus I shot my best tourney score ever this week with this new setup. So thank you HairyTeabagins for critiquing my clubs.

I may start to do this.

Driver 279 3W 255 1I 236 3I 217 5I-9I 192-142 PW 130 GW 115 SW 100 LW 85 PT I can live with the gaps here. And the 1Iron is fantastic off the tee (250-260) Doesn't the 1-iron have a *tiny* accuracy cone? I tried to use it, but with tour clubs it's way too risky for me.

It's absolutely magic laying up off tee (250-260 with roll out) and very good off the fairway unless the lie is very uneven. More often than not, its the club I use when I'm going after a par 5 in 2. A little deloft added and it runs like crazy when it hits the ground. Completely useless from the rough and an acquired taste, for sure.
